Rummy had taken a very sharp turn for the worst early Thursday morning and gently passed early that afternoon on his own at home with me before we could get him into the clinic for euthanasia.

I'm feeling all the things- mainly relief, gratitude, and heartbreak. I hope he wasn't scared. I hope he knew I was right there with him. I hope he felt the love and appreciation.

I had always asked for him to make it clear when it was his time and he certainly did.

Thanks for doing right by me every day we were together, Rums. Love and miss you forever, good boy.

Happy trails to you until we meet again 🧡 💛 by @hwoodley

Toasty Moab weekend 🦎☀️
Learned how to properly drive on a dirt road and use long exposure @plexitron
Rummy hates the heat and super duper hates all fires including camp fires.
Town was crowded and people were weird.
5 stars from me
1 star from Rummy (the back seat of the truck saved us from a 0 star review)
