CJ was hands down the most rewarding experience I’ve ever had in my life. I met so many new people, and made more memories than I knew was possible in a two month time span. I miss the sounds of the grove, I miss unlimited coffee, I miss the lake, and above all else I miss my friends. There’s so many things I want to say about these past two months, but that would take too long. This school year for the most part was pretty consistently meh if I’m being honest. Classes were harder than last year, schedules were more difficult to maintain, and stressing about my career path had me feeling like shit. Video games got boring, my self image distorted, and although Cabaret was a privilege and joy to do, I didn’t feel a real connection to anyone.

Little did I know, as the school year was coming to an end, so was my loneliness.

And as I lay here in my bed at home, I think of how a week ago at this same time I was in a room filled with people laughing and yelling, and smiling, and arguing. And I miss it all so very badly, but for now I get to enjoy the memories, the things I’ve been shown, and the knowing that I get to do it all again… I wish I could pocket the sunshine and never give it back. taken in The Friend Ship by @hydrowlz

Shoutout me for fucking up my audition song and restarting three times and STILL bagging a spot on the cast (lowkey thought I was cooked) this was such a rewarding experience, it pushed me so hard as a performer and helped me learn so many skills both in life and in performance.
