Today I started installing Plastic Garden - Raised Bed🏃🏻‍♀️ 17th Berliner Hörspielfestival @hoerspielfestival 17-20 Sep 2026 Akademie der Künste @akademiederkuenste Hanseatenweg 10, 10557 Berlin Opening: Fri, 18 Sep, 19:00 by @hye.young.sin
‘Plastic Garden-Trellis’ is a performative installation by Hye Young Sin, where sound becomes a method of cultivation. During the performance, trellis structures are transformed into string instruments or generate feedback sounds through their interaction. The project explores artificiality and ecological concerns by reimagining growth, where plants thrive not through water, but through sound. Now on view at @concertgebouwbrugge in Bruges, Belgium—only until next Monday! 📸 @pheobelaw 📹 Jonas De Roover (This work will be presented on July 18th as part of my upcoming solo exhibition in Berlin. More details soon!) by @hye.young.sin
I’ve been working on this performance project that reimagines the greenhouse as a sonic house for Plastic Plants that thrive only through sound. Looking forward to presenting part of it soon at soundings in Köln with our collective, multilogue. 🗓️ Thu, 22 Jan 2026, 20:00 📍 KHM Aula @kunsthochschulefuermedien Filzengraben 2, 50676 Köln by @hye.young.sin
