Man what a disappointing day. @calibercollision

Today, Floyd with Caliber Collision called me and said the car was ready to pick up with the caveat that I’d have to come back as they ordered the wrong badges which I had called them about immediately the day I saw their estimate to ensure they got the correct ones. I ended up going up there with the understanding that I’d have to come back so they can put the badges on once received. As I got there, I saw my car out front and checked it out in depth before going inside. I got photos with my professional camera as well as my cell phone.

I was rather… disappointed. I immediately noticed a lot of orange peel texture on the entire bumper (red) as well as the diffuser (black). Looking at the diffuser, there was still damage present from the August 1st collision. When I went inside I asked for Floyd to go over it with him and he seemed confused as to why I was unsatisfied. When I dropped the car off on the 11th I went over even the smallest details with Floyd and how I also believed the diffuser should be replaced since it was bent/buckled on the impact. He brushed it off saying they could fix it which I remember responding with a very skeptical “okayyyyyyy…” - I think now I am right in why I was skeptical; strike 1.

We have sensor damage and scuffs even on a sensor that wasn't even hit in the accident, so that's fun! - Strike 2. The diffuser is more of a semi-gloss black and not the OEM satin black. Orange peel everywhere and other paint imperfections. Big ol paint pit in the middle of my bumper. Sticky black, stuff on my drivers side tail light and the damage to the diffuser is still apparent. Strike 3, 4, 5 and 6.

I turned it down because I had an expectation of quality OEM work, especially in getting my car back to “pre-accident” condition even though my Carfax and resale value will forever be tainted by the accident.

When you couldn't listen to me on the badges, the fit and finish of the diffuser, and then are happy to give my $80,000 car back with blemishes all over, mystery stuff on my tail lights and orange peel all over it comes across as a distinct lack of care.
