Finding clarity within the chaos lately. With my life being in the void of the unknown, finding moments of breath and release enables spontaneous moments of serenity.

To Vic,

You innocent, romantic, unselfconscious, sweet, silly, fierce kitty cat. Thank you. Thank you for the past 11 months of growth. This role is everything and everyday you were humbled to put on that makeup, the costume, and the wig, knowing many legendary women came before you. This was not an easy journey. The aches and pains…the mental anguish…personal life…it was all so incredibly intense. But at the end of the day this was a dream. Never did 10 year old Hyla ever see her, an Asian woman, playing this role and she couldn’t be prouder. Representing the AAPI community and loving what you do. That’s what matters. You were such a fun and fuzzy ball of light to step into for this season. The shoes were big to fill but I think she did her best. Thank you for staying true to who you are. Up up up to the Heavyside layer this Vic goes. Goodbye Junkyard. Xoxo

We are BACK this week! & our amazing year round Faculty & wonderful Alumni are HOME & ready to share! We are honored & excited to curate a Summer Intensive with so many Professional Artists & Educators that are so invested in the growth of each dancer. Swipe for the schedule & some beautiful pics of our Faculty for next week. We feel strongly 1 of many ways to determine the success of a studio is shown by the Alumni who are happy dancing professionally & continue to come home & give back to our next generation. Can’t wait to see you all soon!! #season31 #simplythebest #danceintraversecity #cdtforever taken in Dance Arts Academy by @hylamayrose

NYCDA never fails to inspire✨

Congratulations to all! Y’all worked so hard amongst the long hours of rehearsals, classes, and competitions. This feels like home away from home and I have appreciated y’all sharing your hearts and talent with me. Thank you to TDA for welcoming me to your studio so graciously and trusting me with teaching your dancers. See you at boot camp❤️

Its this DIVAS birthday! If you know Broccoli, Bubby, Borck, Pookie etc. you know how witty, nerdy, sharp, sweet natured, silly, and kind he is. Wish him a happy birthday as he enters senior citizenship🎂🎉 (also petition to bring back the mustache?) by @hylamayrose

Best weekend with the Robino’s seeing my favorite fighter jets in action (sorry Thunderbirds). Even though we were down for the count it was worth it💙❤️
