Recent Work for ACDC. The Power Up Tour is tearing its way through North America as we speak, it’s been selling-out stadiums and smashing records since starting in Europe in 2024. Here’s some visuals from the recent teaser ad I made for legendary Sony Creative Director Josh Cheuse, to promote the 2006 US leg.

The PWR/UP album came out in 2020, and I was lucky enough to be tasked with creating the front cover image. The deep red look originally came from a Gothic-Horror Giallo/ Technicolour place, but over time we made it our own, and when I was asked to make the music video for the track ‘Demon Fire’ (clip featured here) I really tried to go deep and fully submerge myself in the Neon Argento-ness!! Back then I had to use some seriously slow render tools, so I feel like it was a struggle to get Maya to do what I wanted- these days you could probably press a button and make the whole thing in 5 minutes.

Over the years it’s been so fun world-building a whole host of different mini films and imagery for the band using the Profondo Rosso Neon™ look. Shown here are examples from the Spotify animations, and billboard ads, I still pinch myself when I see them out and about! Michael Cragg’s book on Kylie ‘Can’t get you out of my head’ is coming out in September. I was interviewed for the book about my work for the Music Video ‘The One’ and my work on the tour visuals around that period.

I have to say, so far so AMAZING, I’ve been reading the book and it’s full to the brim with forensically researched Kylie nuggets and insights on the genius that is Min-ogue. Loads of really interesting context too. Thoroughly recommend.

Hopefully I didn’t overshare… it all came flooding out 😍 She really is a creative Titan and I wanted to stress how much her image came from the source. But that’s not to forget the one-man-creative-army that is Will Baker, obvs!

This got me reminiscing, so here’s a few clips from the video and some of the visuals discussed in the X tour (2008) , Aphrodite (2011) and Kiss Me Once (2014).
