Kira had a great workup with her GP vet at JVH, and was diagnosed with a transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) cancer in her urinary bladder back in July, 2024. The mass was taking up 75% of her bladder space and she developed significant anemia and lethargy from the vast amount of blood loss in her urine. Herbal therapies like Yunnan Bai Yao has been instrumental in getting her bleeding in check. Other chinese herbal formulas that she's on help clear inflammation, reduces bacterial growth, has antineoplastic properties, etc. Kira is a good example of how well animals with advanced cancer can do with palliative integrative care. #tcvm @jacksonvillevet , #jacksonvillevet #cancersucks by @hyperlil_welmsy
