Yesterday was a special day for the @hypnatwists! Ruby got to meet and share with The Hives how Zack and Tony and she met at their @mississippistudios show in 2023 and became friends and a band. A dream come true for the 3 of us. Connecting through music is the best and we wanna keep that going! Thank you, @thehives ♥️ (Tunnels was the first song we wrote together 🥹) taken in Music Millennium by @hypnatwists

[Thank you so much @blondasachild for these incredible photographs - if you want beautiful photos of anything, please seek out Jeremiah - he is incredibly kind and very talented.]

Last Friday was such a highlight moment of community for us. We were beyond honored to be the first rock band/band EVER to play Loucks Auditorium at Salem Public Library!!! And hopefully bring to life something that lasts way beyond us! 📚 🎵 ❤️‍🔥

Thank you to @brontidefriend for all of your support, enthusiasm and coordination. Thank you @notpelka for making sound literally happen - we could not have ever done that without you TO SAY THE LEAST 😅! Thank you to Dave who is a mythical figure who helped us a ton that day and architected that auditorium from scratch 8 years ago.

Thank you @jssiwest for your amazing promotion and infinite patience with Ruby and her kids being unhinged in the library well before the show 😜

Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word, to our friends and family for showing up and supporting us, and every single person who was there ♥️

Thank you to @spl.oregon for being such a pinnacle of community for our Salem.

I also want to apologize for my bubble cigarette addiction on full display before Live for the Chase - a questionable move to say the least - the official stance of The Hypnatwists is smoking cigarettes is bad… but smoking bubble cigarettes is super fun and good. Just kidding just kidding! 🫧😝

We love our Salem community so much. Thank you for rocking out with us.

And as always and forevermore, please continue to support @spl.oregon! A place where you can discover what’s beneath the covers not only of books but the other people you share a home with here. Who knows you could meet your next best friend there. It’s truly the best library ever ♥️ 🤘🏽 by @hypnatwists

#CustodiansofWonder is the most beautiful book I have ever read.

@eliot.stein is a senior journalist and editor at the BBC and an incredibly thoughtful and gifted writer.

His wife @julyssa_raquel is the deputy music editor at @rollingstone and a beyond magical music writer.

They are two of my absolute favorites - I am always excited to read anything by them - you should totally check them out!

Last episode of “Books Rock” tomorrow featuring my favorite book of all time - and all of this has been to promote our favorite local library, @spl.oregon , the beauty of books and our honor to play the first rock show there this Friday!

Episode Today of “Books Rock”.

Spend some time in Wonderland; I promise it’s worth it.

And then get smart about your finances so you can work smart and not hard to take care of yourself!

Also - listen to Diabolical Lies - 1 podcast episode is worth a thousand books, I promise.

First lastly, GO 🐻!!!

Of course I am the singer for the @hypnatwists - I struggle to stop talking. Another 4 minute video but it’s GEB!!! My GAB about GEB.

This Friday!

Salem Public Library
5-6pm, Free and all ages!

GEB is staring at me right now. Mocking me for only being able to journey halfway and then running home crying. Okay, okay! How about after the Moby Dick Marathon? I know I’m a dunce and a coward, please just leave me alone! - That’s me talking to GEB. by @hypnatwists
