To someone truly special 🤍

Maybe the right moment to say this has already passed. Or maybe words like these don’t belong to a moment, they belong to all the years and memories that brought us here.

Thank you, Marti.

For staying when it would have been easier to walk away. For carrying enough strength for both of us when mine disappeared. For believing in dreams that sometimes felt too big even for me, and chasing them beside me until they became real.

You started as someone I looked up to. Then you became the person who taught me, challenged me, and pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of. And somewhere between the lessons, arguments, laughter, tears, victories and defeats, you became my best friend.

You’ve known every version of me. The brave one, the stubborn one, and the one who wanted to give up. And through all of them, you stayed.

Every mistake that once felt like the end of the world became something we survived. Every disappointment became another page in a story we kept writing. Every impossible decision felt a little less frightening because I knew I wouldn’t have to face it alone.

There are people who stand beside you when you’re winning. And then there are people who sit beside you in the dust when everything falls apart and quietly remind you, “We’ll build it again.”

Life has a strange way of changing everything we once thought would stay the same. But some people become woven so deeply into your story that time could never erase them.
You have always been that person for me.

I love you. I always will.

And if I could live it all again…the beautiful parts and the painful ones, I wouldn’t ask for an easier road.

I would only ask that you were still walking beside me.
