Reminiscing about summer 🫶
not me pullin up hungover, slightly anxious and sweaty on day 8 GF, tryna figure out the buttons on the decks live on @radioruit

yapping, giggling, gossiping and hydration breaks, really anything but making a decent blend lol

the tracklist was only gems tho!! (i've got immaculate taste)

Still learning how to mix. First and foremost i'm a rapper who's mesmerized by the art of DJing.. It might not be my medium as I am quite an analogue person that carries a paperback agenda and writes bars with my pen.
Getting schooled by the best @bpm.voem !!!

I ended my Radio Ruit set with an unreleased track over a fire beat by @badershashit

Land Sickness was a performance made with i.m.polite (Ghent-based rapper Pauline Van Der Sypt), based on Nikolaj Schultz’s book of the same name. Schultz describes land sickness as a kind of vertigo: the nausea of standing on ground that no longer holds. A world with no stable place to stand, let alone to sleep.
For Muntpunt’s Whole New World, a book selection around queer thematics, we translated that vertigo into lyrics and rhythm with I.m.polite: a live rap about bodies tangled up with a planet in breakdown.
The scenography: cardboard landscapes with all living elements cut away. What stayed on display after the performance were these empty landscapes, holding the shape of what was once there. Not a record of nature, but of its erasure.
Concept, production and scenography: Ruud Van Moorleghem and Mert Şen Lyrics and performance: i.m.polite Music production: Arne Audoor Photos 1–6: Katia Vassilieva Other images and videos: Bebe Books.

Thanks for @muntpunt for the invite ❣️❣️ taken in Muntpunt by @i.m.polite

How do we create in a time of collapse? What do we leave behind?
For Whole New World, we collaborated with rapper i.m.polite on a new performance departing from Land Sickness by Nikolaj Schultz — a meditation on climate anxiety, displacement, and the impossibility of refuge.
The collaboration unfolds across sound and scenography.
i.m.polite developed an original song in response to the book’s central questions. Bebe Books translates these into a spatial and material practice, with scenography that remains on view at Muntpunt throughout the exhibition.
What does it mean to remember something that hasn’t finished disappearing?
