In February 2016 @adamackland introduced me to the intriguing @LettersLive and I joined the team to help deliver their 2nd run of shows at the Freemasons Hall in Holborn. Right before we got stuck in to those shows, @jamie.byng had met with some incredible women who had just started a grass roots organisation at Calais’s refugee camp, The Jungle helping displaced people seeking refuge and there was an opportunity to present a small Letters Live show at the Good Chance Theatre. So off we went with Jude Law, Toby Jones, Shappi Khorsandi, Tom Odell, Harriet Walters and many more. That marked the beginning of a long and truly beautiful relationship with @chooselove In the 10 years since, Letters Live has supported their efforts through making them the nominated charity for shows in London, New York and Wilderness Festival which I was lucky enough and proud to have been a part of. It’s been nothing short of utterly inspiring and immensely impressive to see what @josie_chooselove and @phillisphotos and the incredible team at Choose Love have achieved and continue to achieve in the face of relentless devastation and destruction over the past decade. Happy Birthday @chooselove 🎈✨💕 Congratulations and thank you for reminding us all what can happen when we choose love. Here’s to many more ❤️ 1. @britishfilminstitute 69th London Film Festival 🍿🎞️ Thank you for having us LFF! It’s hard enough getting something made, which is why getting it in front of an audience is so important and satisfying and what better audience could we possible ask for. So honoured to be programmed alongside so many other incredibly impressive shorts! Dream come true ✨ by @i_am_aimie
Big thanks to Shay Kaur Grewal for having us on @bbclondon to discuss Party Animal, LFF, and the process of making shorts. @sunnyandshay #LFF by @i_am_aimie

Last week Wembley hosted a historic event which I was lucky enough to be a part of. It was a mad whirlwind of action and energy, all in the name of Palestine and her people. The energy in the room that night is nothing I’ve ever felt before and after the long days leading up to it, it was all the more reassuring. This opportunity was a life defining moment for me. I don’t know what comes next but I do know how important it is to turn up, however you can. Don’t let news or history or privilege or anyone obstruct your humanity. Free Palestine. *this is the only photo I got! by @i_am_aimie
"We wanted to consider the—perhaps unfashionable—opposing case: is it ever better to conform and be wrong, than to exist as a pariah but be correct?" @aligill___ returns to DN and digs into the delicate combination of cinematography, score and performance to arrive at the playful, uncanny tone of his potent allegorical short 'Party Animal' - screening at the upcoming London Film Festival - where @nabhaanr's dispirited barber witnesses a donkey eared politician openly rising through the ranks in the midst of mass apathy 🫏 // Credits // Starring - @nabhaanr, Esther Hall, @edwardbakerduly, @hebe_beardsall, @olly.mann Writer/Director - @aligill___ Producers - @i_am_aimie @jules.kirby Executive Producers - Paul Harry Thomas @_josh_barnes Production Company - @xfilmco Casting Director - @involuntarylowercase Composers - @l.jborlase @arthurleadbetter Sound Designer - @sammasonsounddesign Colourist - @maxfergusonhook DOP - @lil.wontons 1st AC - @gemma_mancinelli 2nd AC - @zezegule Steadicam Op - @steadilee Camera Trainee - @hannahmarch7 Grip - @tobyelwes Gaffer - @mark.lane_ Spark - @aga_mazurek Cam & Lighting Transport - @markhillslondon Production Designer - @sammstoreyy Assistant Art Director - @evienairne Art Assistant - @morrisp_industry Costume Designer - @caitlinbatch HMU Designer - @carlyroberts_ HMU Assistant - @millieconroymakeup HMU Assistant - @amberkeel20 Prosthetics - @giscreatures 1st AD - @harrytharry 2nd AD - @_josh_barnes 3rd AD - @amelia_sabeti Runner - @lara_mandell Sound Recordist - michaelsnd Sound Assistant - Tija Skvarciute On Site Editor - @willmay3000 Stills Photography - @annafrancesca25 @jakemartin4359 VFX - @milkvfx #LFF2025 #PartyAnimal #AliGill #NabhaanRizwan #ShortFilm by @i_am_aimie

Our last Letters Live show of the year was our 7th sold out show at the Royal Albert Hall but our 1st there at Christmas! I can't think of a more festive place to celebrate the end of a mega year. This show was in aid of the RNLI who are celebrating their 200th year of service this year. A huge show highlight for me was having a letter read by its author whose life was saved by a RNLI volunteer 55 years ago. The recording is now online and we'll worth a watch. Check out their work - it's remarkable! Photographer credits: Andy Paradise @paradiseph0t0 and Charles Henderson @photo_henderson by @i_am_aimie
