McCoy comes to Champaign after competing at The Bolles School in Florida where she is transitioning to track & field full time from basketball with a high ceiling. She was a two-time runner-up at the Florida State Championships!

100% COMMITTED.

There has been so much thought put into this decision, so much advice and so much love. At the end however, I believe this decision has been one of my own and I can’t describe the happiness I feel. I know what is expected of me but I also know I serve a God who doesn’t call me to live for everyone. My potential is insurmountable and my God is unbeatable and I perform for an audience of 1. Him.

To everyone around me. I love you. I couldn’t do it without y’all. Everyday I wake up is a blessing to laugh and smile with you. I truly don’t think everyone knows how much it makes me happy just to smile and be around the people I love everyday.

Thank you God, there is no one like you. Only you have been here the entire time. Waking me up. Preparing me. Listening to me. And I know I can be hand full but Lord you’ve guided me to this decision and I didn’t always know the plan but you did, and that’s all that mattered. I know you see the potential in me that not all may see and I’m ready to go crazy these next four with you right by my side. Thank you isn’t enough.
