One highlight experience of our Japan trip: visiting Usagi Ramen in Shibuya🍜 This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant holds quite a bit of significance to me because it is owned by the brother of the late beat-producer Nujabes! Hip hop music is and has always been an integral part of my life. Among my lifelong friends, we have always shared this in common. As a big Nujabes fan, this was definitely was a bucket list place to visit! I also must add that the ramen did not disappoint! This place is a short walk from the Shibuya train station and by the time @cindygads and I arrived, we were ready to tear up a bowl. Flavors were on point, perfect blend of broth, meat and noodles… I’m hungry just thinking about it lol… The big experience for me there was getting to shake hands and snap a quick pic with Jun Seba’s younger brother, who is a total splitting image of the legendary DJ himself. The restaurant owner keeps a low profile for the most part and just focuses on keeping his menu high quality but you will definitely see some Easter eggs that pay tribute to his legendary brother. As satisfying of a meal that was, there was also a soulful fulfillment in visiting there that I’ll forever take with me. I can thank Nujabes for quite a number of things, for the times that his music gave me inspiration and peace.
