Tomorrow night: Israeli wine tasting on the Upper West Side!

At an Israeli owned local business, of course.

And the best part? It costs less than a glass and a half of wine at most UWS bars, except we’ll be tasting FOUR glasses (at least) ;)

Beyond having an extremely fun night, by joining us you’ll be supporting three Israeli owned businesses in one evening.

Our tasting will be led by Aniv, a wine expert with a PhD in Neuroscience, who brings together wine, science, history and culture in every glass.

We’ll be hosted in the beautiful, cozy space of Avi & Shlomit, with delicious bites alongside the wine from Shachar’s bakery and wine shop. Shachar continues to deal with antisemitic incidents at his Brooklyn store, which makes supporting his business especially meaningful to us.

Come drink Israeli wine, meet great people, support Israeli businesses, and have a very Israeli night with us.

Our Israeli wine nights have sold out before, and we have a feeling this one will too.

The L’Chaim Tour is coming to the Upper West Side for an intimate evening of Israeli wine, great snacks and even better company.

The tasting will be led by Aniv, a wine expert with a PhD in Neuroscience. Her journey began at Carmel Winery in Zichron Yaakov, and today she brings together wine, science, history and culture in every glass.

We’ll be hosted by Avi and Shlomit, an Israeli couple from our community, with gorgeous flowers and a beautiful atmosphere, alongside delicious bites from Shahar’s bakery and wine shop.

Tickets are currently available at a special lower price, but only for 3 days. After that, the price goes up.

Our previous wine events sold out, so if you’re thinking about joining us, now is the time.

IAC Salutes @mr.robertkraft for Expelling Macklemore’s Antisemitism from the Stage

The Israeli-American Council (IAC) applauds Robert Kraft and his fellow stadium owners for their moral leadership in expelling rapper Macklemore from the concert stage rather than allow him to promote antisemitism.

Recently, before tens of thousands of concertgoers at MetLife Stadium, Macklemore celebrated the pro-Hamas riots and encampments at universities that had harassed Jewish students, and slandered Israel with the lie of genocide, all while ignoring the crimes against humanity perpetrated by Hamas. Hamas’ mass murder, mass rape, mass torture, and hostage taking of Jews on October 7, 2023, escaped any mention during his tirade against the Jewish state. Unfortunately, this was not Macklemore’s first offense. In 2014, he appeared onstage wearing a large prosthetic nose, dark wig and beard, drawing widespread criticism for evoking antisemitic caricatures.

Robert Kraft’s moral leadership establishes what should be an obvious principle: a performer who traffics in antisemitism should not be given a stage. As a result, Macklemore will no longer be allowed to subject audiences to his hateful rants. The IAC salutes and thanks Mr. Kraft for setting an example for all to follow. by @iacnyc
