Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at Pfizer Headquarters in New York City for the IADC Product Liability Roundtable!

The 2026 IADC Trial Academy concluded today after an intensive program of advocacy training, hands-on learning, and professional growth. Throughout the week, students refined their courtroom skills through demonstrations, individual coaching, and mock trial exercises while developing their own authentic trial style under the guidance of an exceptional faculty.

Led by Acting Director Alba Arriaga Romano, this year’s Academy showcased the dedication and mentorship that has made the Trial Academy the Crown Jewel of the IADC. We extend our sincere appreciation to the faculty for sharing their time, knowledge, and experience with the next generation of trial lawyers.

The 2026 Trial Academy officially kicked off on Saturday at the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law.

This week, 80 students are learning from 14 accomplished faculty members and our Acting Director Alba Arriaga Romano through one of the IADC’s premier educational programs. The Annual Meeting took place last week at the Prague Marriott Hotel and NH Collection Prague Carlo IV in Prague, Czech Republic. It was a fantastic opportunity for members to come together in person for outstanding CLE programming, meaningful business development and networking, and memorable social events that strengthened connections across the IADC community.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard on the Annual Meeting last week. A special thanks goes out to Whitney Frazier Watt who led the CLE planning efforts of the CLE Steering Committee along with Jennifer Haltom Doan, the CLE Committee Chair. Thank you to Gabriel Loli and Osterling Abogados for hosting a fantastic Regional Meeting last week in Lima. Attendees engaged in conversations with fellow IADC members and guests on arbitration in Peru and strengthening professional relationships.

Also, this was our first meeting held in a different language other than English – Spanish! (An interpreter was hired for our English-speaking attendees and they wore headsets to participate in the robust conversation.) IADC is truly an international organization. #iadcmeetings by @iadclaw
