On October 14th, 2014 around 5:20pm, while in the middle of watching Maury, after 24+ hours of labor the doctors came in and said I’d needed to be prepped for an emergency c-section! While I was nervous and I’m sure Larry Barron was too, I was taken into the OR.

Less than 30 minutes later, at 5:42pm, our son Emery Barron came into this world weighing almost 9lbs!!! My boy came out ready to eat!!! 😂 The nurses down the hall could hear him sucking on his wrists, and he even had little scabs on his wrists from where he’d been doing it in the womb! 🤯 Needless to say, we shouldn’t be surprised that our boy doesn’t stop eating, even now!!! 😂

Emery was the easiest baby! As he becomes a preteen today, maybe not so much, but he is an amazing son! He’s the kindest (but still a “big brother” 🥴) most loving (will literally tell you he loves you 10+ times a day!), handsome, soccer-loving ⚽️ and SMARTEST 12 year old that I know!

I’m soooo proud to be able call you our son! And grateful that Jurni and Saint can call you their big brother!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FIRST BORN, MR. EMERY!!!! I love you more than you know!!! 🧁🧁🧁🎉🎉🎉

Tonight I had the pleasure of attending Abrea Armstrong’s 2nd stop of the book tour for her debut novel Ferry Tales. I’m so proud of her and excited to see all the beautiful things that come from this book! I also cannot wait to dive into this creative work of hers.
