You know the moment I was born, God knew the hardships that would come. As a young boy, I witnessed things that most 5-7 year olds shouldn’t. And as a teenager, those moments would fuel anger inside of me.

2015 - This was the year that I surrendered my life to Jesus. This was the year that I told God, “I need you to take over.” And He did. And since then, my life has been living for Him. To glorify Him in everything I do. My passion for the youth in our community stems from my childhood.

And when I reflect back on those moments, I can see where God was at each time. And how He uses it for good. Now I know many see what I may be doing with the youth, but what I always let others know is that the good you see in me is Him.

Matthew 5:16 says

“In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

So I look at these moments as times to point others back to Him. Because I would be foolish to think it had anything to do with me.

To my wife, many see me, but they don’t see you. They don’t know that the hours that I spend with the kids at games, school events, or whatever is going on, is time spent away from you. This doesn’t happen without you. I’m so thankful for you and how you lead from behind the scenes. I know you don’t like the recognition either, but I’m giving it to you anyway lol. I love you so much.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me and congratulated me. I lost it when I saw my family, and youth kiddos there with their leaders. I’m honored to receive the Monahans Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Award.

My hope is that everyone I student would come to know who Jesus is, because in the end that’s all that matters. He deserves all the glory forever and ever, amen.

Galatians 2:20

Life update. When I stepped into youth ministry full-time, I knew this was what God was calling me to do. Now going into year 3, the Lord continues to remind me He is there with me every step of the way. I’m so thankful for my wife, who continues to support me in this calling.

I’m the last person to be telling these kids about Jesus, but I’m thankful that God allows me to be a part of what He is doing in the @mcchurchstudents lives! Not for my glory but for His! All glory to Him. ✝️ taken in Monahans Community Church by @iam2nd_v21

Great win last night. During the game I kept going back to this moment. When these, now seniors and juniors, went and we brought the gold back home to Monahans in the Ft. Stockton tournament back in 2018. Great times. Love these boys. 💚 by @iam2nd_v21

The first photo blew up here is one more of my favorites from last night with God’s painting in the sky.

Thankful for what God allows me to do and to highlight these amazing students we have in Lobo Nation.

Always a great time. 🙌🏻 All glory to Him.

It’s hard to put into words what this means. These girls may not realize it, but it’s moments like this that encourage me the most to keep pushing forward.

Thankful for all God allows me to be a part of. For that, He deserves all the glory.

Side note: This is the one rare time they get me with the circle game 👌🏼 😂 IYKYK.

Love this team and what God is doing in their lives.

If you grabbed a program at yesterday’s game, you received a great reminder: Jesus loves you.

As Christ followers, our ultimate goal isn’t to make our name known but to make God’s name known.

John 3:16 says:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

My goal is that whatever we do, God is glorified through it. Why?

Romans 1:16 says:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”

This gift is offered to everyone who chooses to accept it. And the good news is that Jesus paid for it. My hope is that everyone we know would come to know the freedom that Jesus offers.
