Statistics inform. Stories transform.

Data tells us what’s happening. Stories show us why it matters.

Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a life. Tell stories that inspire action.

It all starts with one puff…
then slowly turns into addiction.

Today is world No Tobacco Day,
but vaping has become the new trend among teen, adolescents and youth.

What looks harmless today
may lead to nicotine addiction,
lung diseases and cancer,
brain disorders, heart disease,
and even death.

Vaping is not harmless.
It is an emerging public health concern affecting young people worldwide.

Protect the future.
Say NO to vaping and tobacco use.

should our impact be limited to treating the consequences of problems, or should we also help shape the systems that produce those consequences? by @iam__yazeed

Nigeria at 66 🇳🇬

With over 240 million people and hundreds of ethnic groups, languages, traditions, and cultures, Nigeria is one of the world’s most diverse and vibrant nations.

Our diversity is not merely something to celebrate; it is a strength we can harness.

As young Nigerians, we are not just inheritors of this country’s future. We are participants in building it — through our ideas, our character, our creativity, our service, and our willingness to contribute.

The Nigeria we want is not a far-fetched dream; it only requires that we rise to meet it.

May Nigeria be a peaceful country, where every citizen can live with dignity, hope, and the freedom to contribute to our collective progress.

Happy 66th Independence Day, Nigeria. 🇳🇬

Behind every breast cancer diagnosis is a family carrying an emotional burden that often goes unseen. That is why we must take the message of early detection beyond hospitals to our communities, schools, markets, workplaces, and social media.

Let’s educate. Let’s encourage self-awareness. Let’s promote early detection. Because finding breast cancer early can save lives and reduce the burden on families.

Throughout human history, no generation has brought positive change to the world without involving young men and women.

They are the backbone of humanity they are the vanguard of any positive change they are the ambassadors of progress and
Development; they are the pillars of stability globally; they are energetic, powerful, and creative.

No nation will succeed without developing and providing the enabling environment for its youth

Healthcare is more than treating illness.

For many communities, the challenge is not only the quality of care, but whether they can reach, afford, and actually receive it.

Poverty, health financing, policy, implementation, and accountability all shape these realities.

If we want better health outcomes, we must strengthen the systems and conditions that determine whether people can access care in the first place.

During a medical outreach in a community today, I had a conversation with a local resident that stayed with me.

He said something simple, yet profound:

“Poverty and poor health outcomes cannot be separated.”

And it made me think.

Before we ask why Nigerians are sick, perhaps we should ask why so many Nigerians struggle to live healthy lives.

Can someone who struggles to put food on the table consistently afford healthcare?

Can a family already battling unemployment withstand catastrophic out-of-pocket health expenses?

What happens when inflation continues to erode household income, when people lack decent housing, clean water, sanitation, nutrition and sustainable livelihoods?

These are not merely economic problems.

They are health problems.

Healthcare cannot be resilient if the people it serves are economically vulnerable.

We need a healthcare system that does more than treat people when they become sick. We need functional, accessible and adequately financed Primary Health Care, stronger health financing, and policies that address the social and economic conditions that shape health.

Because health is not created in hospitals alone.

If we truly want better health outcomes, we must also build better living conditions.

That is where the conversation about Nigeria’s health system must begin.
