Yesterday, I celebrated my Harvard University graduation with a beautiful, intimate brunch surrounded by some of my family and friends. It was one of the most soul-filling, joyous days I’ve had in a long time. I truly felt so loved.

Yesterday is also such a special day for me because I got baptised on July 26th quite a few years ago! This day is always a day that re-centres me and brings me back to the essence of what truly matters.

So many interesting things have happened this year, but they have taught me how much it is our responsibility to cherish the present moment. I’ve always been incredibly goal oriented and I tick things off and move on to the next thing (as I have already done even post this graduation 🤭) But I wanted to make sure I took this one in.

I feel so blessed and deeply grateful. Many loved ones couldn’t be there yesterday because life has scattered us across different places, but knowing how much love surrounds me, both near and far, is such a gift.

I did it! I graduated from Harvard University with a Master’s in Management this week! 🎓

What a journey it has been! God has been so faithful to me! Younger Anne-Florence is so excited for me too!

To say that this has been a journey is an understatement. For nearly two years, I attended live, two-hour classes starting after midnight, several times a week (due to the time difference), I also flew to Boston in person several times too.

Balancing my studies with work, life responsibilities, and ongoing professional projects stretched me in ways I could have never anticipated.

But I’m reminded of a scripture that is so dear to me, Proverbs 16:3 which says, “Commit to the Lord, whatever you do and He will establish all your plans.”

You miss 100% of the shots that you don’t strike, so let’s all endeavour to strike boldly!

This degree is a beautiful milestone for me but the real gift has been the growth, clarity and quiet strength that I’ve gained along this journey.

Welcome to Kokoa Media!

I’ve poured my heart and vision into this for the last two years and today, I’m so proud to finally introduce Kokoa Media.

Kokoa is an African-inspired children’s media company born from a simple but powerful belief: that African children deserve to see themselves, their stories, their joy, and their brilliance reflected on screen.

At the heart of Kokoa is education. We are introducing children to engaging, high-quality media that not only entertains but also equips them with the tools to learn, grow, and thrive.

We’re creating content that empowers children with knowledge, confidence, and pride in who they are, all with a lot of joy and excitement!

Our very first show, Dumi & Dana’s World, brings this mission to life. It is a fun, vibrant world where curiosity leads to learning and every moment sparks discovery.

This is just the beginning. Thank you for being part of this journey. 💛

#SPOTLIGHTONHER | Today, we shine the spotlight on Anne-Florence Pungong (@iam_anflo), a Cameroonian founder, children’s media executive, and creative producer working at the intersection of music, storytelling, and early childhood education.

Anne-Florence is the CEO of @kokoa.media, a children’s edutainment company creating original, music-led preschool content that celebrates African culture as joyful, familiar, and foundational to early childhood learning.

Recognising the lack of authentic African representation in early-years media, Anne-Florence founded Kokoa Media to build the kind of joyful, culturally grounded content she wished had existed when she was growing up.

Through Kokoa Media, Anne-Florence Pungong created and executive-produced the animated preschool series Dumi & Dana’s World, designed for children aged 2–6. The series uses music, rhythm, repetition, and fun to support early learning, emotional development, and a strong sense of identity while naturally weaving African culture into everyday childhood experiences.

Since its launch in December 2025, Kokoa Media’s digital platforms have grown organically to over 31,000 subscribers and 500,000+ views across Africa, Europe, and North America, reflecting a clear global appetite for culturally grounded early-years storytelling.

Today marks exactly a month since the launch of Kokoa Media and we have reached over 22,000 subscribers on Youtube and almost 3000 followers across our social media platforms! 🥹

I wanted to say a personal thank you for all the support Kokoa Media and Dumi & Dana’s World has received so far. What began as a deep personal conviction is growing into something I am incredibly proud of. A show now being watched by children and families around the world!

This past year has stretched me in every way. My capacity, my mind, and even the parts of myself I thought I had figured out.

I’m learning, on a deeper level, that it’s in the mess that the greatest alchemy happens.
