Let me tell yall why this is so special to me. I showed up faithfully to this role most nights against doctors orders. I signed myself out the hospital the day before a show.. I almost collapsed on stage.

I was losing a baby at the time and the only thing that brought me joy in the midst of my sadness was being on stage. To know that all of my hard work wasn’t in vain I give all praises to God for keeping me and covering during one of the hardest times in my life.

My castmates were amazing! So supportive and I salute all of you! We are all winners and God is the plug! CONGRATULATIONS to everyone & SUPER CONGRATS 🎊 TO ME! With all that I go through behind closed doors I’m still showing up with a smile because I love what I do! Thank you @thejeffawards for this nomination. You all don’t know how much this means to me. To the Queen of the black ensemble Dr. Jackie Taylor…Thank you for opening up a space and home for me to be myself. I love you wholeheartedly!!!! To my son thank you for allowing me to do what I love understanding every long day and night! You’re the real MVP kiddo…Ok I’m done!

I never take anything for granted. What’s small to some isn’t small to others. This was a role that challenged me…. I love roles that take me out of my comfort zone and this one did in more ways than one. Congratulations to all nominees and congratulations to me 🤞🏽💕 Another nomination on my resume and hopefully a win 🏆 🥹
