God in the Mundane

I don’t even know where to start with this one.
Been trying to write it for months,
but the words keep slipping through my fingers like oil.
Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts,
direct my hand to write what You need them to read,
in Jesus’ name. Amen.

There’s a prayer I heard once,
I think it was Pastor Cliffe Knechtle,
but memory’s foggy, like a mirror dimly lit (1 Corinthians 13:12).
Still, it stuck with me:
“Lord, I thank You for the things You do that I’m aware of,
and for the things You do that I’m not smart enough to notice,
I’m even more grateful for those.”

Because when I was dead outside the faith,
I couldn’t fathom that Jesus cared about humanity, let alone me.
One life out of billions?
If I had a million sheep and lost one,
I’d be lucky to even notice.
Might take days, weeks.
But He says,
“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them.
Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine… and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?” (Luke 15:4)
That’s not just a parable. That’s personal.
That’s pursuit.

See, I’m not God.
I don’t care like He does.
I’m not conscious of every sheep.
But He is.
He knows them by name (John 10:3). Guy imagine intentionally Knowing a million names not to speak on 8 billion.
He calls. He waits. He weeps.
He protects. Provides. Corrects. Guides.
Even when the flock rebels,
He doesn’t just leave them to their own devices.
He leaves a lifeline back to him.

I remember when I went full rebellion mode—
not just wandering, I ran.
And the Holy Spirit?
He never left.
He stood by me through every drunken vomit.
Pulled back my hair.
Washed my face.
Whispered, “I’m still here.”
And still handed me free will—
“Choose this day whom you will serve” (Joshua 24:15).
And I chose… me.
Yes, I ran from my Shepherd.
But the lifeline never snapped.
The tether of grace held tight.

In summary

The Fruit of the Spirit is not a list.
It is not a menu.
It is not a set of goals.

It is one fruit —
the nature of God expressed through a life that refuses to disconnect from Him.

Love is the fruit.
Everything else is Love revealed.
And multiplication is Love reproduced.

This is the gospel of fruit:
What you are rooted in determines what you produce.
What you produce becomes what you reproduce.
And what you reproduce becomes the world your children inherit.

To bear good fruits you must stay rooted in Christ by @iam_diamondf

I’ve Struggled with the idea of Surrender for a very long time, just the thought of giving someone that much control is scary because it requires a degree of trust that will frighten any sane man….
I’m still figuring out this Abiding thing but I know it leads to Purpose by @iam_diamondf

I have been Sitting with Galatians 5:22-23 and I think I may have something.

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the GREATEST of these is love.”

“If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This just Goes to show the importance of Love which I believe is that basis of Salvation. “For God so loved the world…”
With love all other fruits of Love comes naturally.

But to love the lord is easier said than done.

Father,
Plant us deep in You.
Let every word that follows be rooted in Your Spirit,
watered by Your wisdom,
and carried by Your breath.

Let this revelation not be clever,
but true.
Not emotional,
but eternal.
Not noisy,
but necessary.

Make my mind still enough to hear You,
my heart soft enough to receive You,
and my pen yielded enough to express You.

Let this writing bear Your fruit,
carry Your nature,

I was once asked a question: “Do you know that the Bible you cling to, as the very force of your life, calls you a slave?”

I refused to believe it, saying, “I am no longer a slave to sin; I am now a child of God. There is freedom in Christ Jesus.”

But after Romans 6 was placed before me, I had to step back and re‑evaluate what it truly means to be a slave, and whether I am willing to be called that—especially considering the history my people have endured.

As I dwelt on the Word, I came to understand that man is a slave to whatever he chooses to obey, whether it be the voice of God or the desires of the flesh.

As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

For those who love to read ❤️❤️
You already decided what God should say.
so when He whispers,
you miss it.

you were waiting for thunder.
for the yes that matched your craving.
for the door you kicked open to look like a miracle.

but God doesn’t shout over your assumptions.
He speaks in the quiet.
in the ache behind your joy.
in the verse you skimmed but couldn’t shake.
in the silence that felt like punishment but was actually preparation.

you want clarity.
but He offers presence.
and presence takes time.
like learning a friend’s sighs,
or knowing when a glance means “stay.”

His signs aren’t neon.
they’re hunger.
fatigue.
a sudden peace in the middle of your storm.
they’re the kind of language that requires relationship.

so ask the Holy Spirit to help you listen.
not just with your ears,
but with your patterns.
your posture.
your willingness to be wrong.

because maybe God’s been speaking all along.
and you just didn’t recognize the sound of surrender. by @iam_diamondf
