There is something about Sunday mornings that always stirs my heart.

Sundays have always been for church, worship, fellowship, and hearing God’s Word. But ever since my mother went home to be with the Lord, Sundays have never felt quite the same.

I miss her every day, but I miss her the most on Sundays. I miss sitting beside her in church, hearing her voice, seeing her smile, and simply knowing she was there. Those moments became memories far sooner than I ever imagined.

Even in my grief, I thank God for the years he allowed me to call her my mother. Her faith, love, and prayers continue to guide me, and I carry her legacy with me every time I walk into the sanctuary.

So today, I’ll worship with a grateful heart, even if it’s a heart that still aches.
Heaven gained an angel, but I’ll forever miss my mother.!

two years of learning how to live with a heart that still calls for its mother.
You were more than a Pastor’s wife — you were strength, wisdom, grace, and covering. You experienced the beauty and the burdens, the victories and the storms, yet you continued to love with everything in you.
