😍 My first magazine cover! 💗 @chicagonewsweekly

🇿🇼 I’m just a girl born in Zimbabwe, raised in Evanston, now living and creating in Chicago. Never imagined I’d see myself on the cover of a magazine. What a moment. 💗

Honored to be featured in Chicago News Weekly’s latest cover story, “VIBES: On Their Own Frequency.”

Being recognized alongside such an incredible group of Chicago creatives is truly special. Across visual art, poetry, music, design, production and environmental advocacy, we’re creating, leading and building on our own frequency.

Grateful to share this cover with:
Aja Monet @ajamonet
Amanda Ballard @2138studios
Julius Dorsey @juliusdorsey @firefurniture
Peter Jericho @princejericho
Dr. Mila K. Marshall @kelstheyogi
Kudzai Mutasa @iam_kudzai
Raji Vela @directorsouthside

A huge thank you to @chicagonewsweekly for the feature, my girl @lauramillerpens for telling our stories and @directorsouthside for capturing us.

Take me back… because I’ve been rewatching my videos ever since! 😍🔥

I didn’t think anything could top seeing @Usher in Vegas, but this concert was EVERYTHING. And I can officially say… I’m a Chris Brown fan now too! 😍

Usher + Chris Brown did not disappoint. What a SHOW! 🔥

🎨I had the honor of creating the live painting for the inaugural @soulbythepoundwellness Men of Wellness: Village Awards, where the finished piece was presented by @chinapanion to her father as a special Father’s Day tribute.

Creating a piece that honored a lifetime of coaching, leadership, and service was a privilege. It fills my heart to know this painting will serve as a reminder of his impact.

Congratulations to all of the honorees, and Happy Father’s Day to the fathers, coaches, and community leaders whose influence continues to shape the next generation.

✨Grateful to use my art to help celebrate moments that matter.

I had the privilege of experiencing the Obama Presidential Center twice, first while it was still under construction and again during a special preview before its official opening.

Watching the vision come to life made the experience even more meaningful.

Sitting behind a replica of the most powerful desk, walking through the exhibits, and reflecting on the journey from an idea to a lasting legacy left me inspired and hopeful.

🙏🏿I would love to create something that permanently goes in the Presidential Library. Let’s make it happen... Yes We Can. taken in Obama presidential center by @iam_kudzai

✨🎶What a night! The Silent Listening Experience 2.0: After Dark at the Field Museum was seriously one for the books. Between the music, the art, the people, and the atmosphere, everything came together in the best way possible.

This was the second live painting I’ve created that I didn’t want to give away! The piece had so much energy in it, and seeing a little girl cry because she didn’t win the raffle 🥹 made it even more memorable and hard to let go.

It was an honor to create live while guests explored the museum, connected through music, and moved through the sounds of Afrobeats and Reggaeton in such a unique setting. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to watch the painting come to life, showed love throughout the evening, and supported the experience. And to all my friends who came through, you already know I love y’all real bad!

✨Take a journey down memory lane with me… “The 112 Story.”

What started as a leadership program became genuine connection, growth, and lifelong relationships. Thanks to the Chicago Urban League IMPACT Leadership Development Program.

Too many memories to share them all… Cohort 12 @thechiurbanleague taken in The Chicago Urban League by @iam_kudzai

On the same day I graduated from the Chicago Urban League IMPACT Leadership Development Program, I also had the opportunity to tour the Obama Presidential Center.

It was emotional, inspiring, and deeply affirming. A reminder that leadership is not just about personal achievement, but about responsibility, service, and impact.

To whom much is given, much is required.

Over the past 9 months, I gained more than leadership training and professional development. I gained 46 brilliant, talented, passionate, and purpose-driven cohort members who became family.

Through life changes, celebrations, challenges, career shifts, and moments of growth, this cohort continuously showed up for one another personally, professionally, and emotionally. What started as a fellowship became a true community rooted in accountability, collaboration, brotherhood, sisterhood, and love.

I am especially proud that we were the first cohort to complete a capstone project: Legacy Preservation & Asset Stabilization (LPAS), where we worked together to help families protect their assets and preserve generational wealth through estate planning resources.

To Cohort 12, EvoluXIIon aka 112, thank you for making my village that much richer.

As I move forward, I carry new knowledge, deeper purpose, and 46 forever connections committed to making an impact across Chicago and beyond.

Thank you to @thechiurbanleague for creating a life changing experience, @goodbeaute @ndigobyhermene for writing my recommendation letters, @dochoneychile for being an incredible IMPACT mentor, and @k__moss @tina_says_so @lovely_ishername for continuously showing up for me. taken in Obama presidential center by @iam_kudzai
