Happy Haitian Mother’s Day to all the Haitian mothers, grandmothers, aunties, godmothers, caregivers, and women who pour into families and communities.

Today, we honor the women who nurture, provide, protect, pray, teach, sacrifice, lead, and keep showing up with love.

We also honor Marie Assé, the heart and namesake behind Marie’s Kitchen of Love.

Marie is 88 years young, a mother to 8 children, a grandmother and great grandmother to 21 and counting, and in so many ways, mother to the thousands of children who have walked through the doors of the school she built in Port-au-Prince since 2007.

Her belief that no child should ever go to bed hungry continues to shape the heart of Marie’s Kitchen of Love.

Today, we honor her legacy, her strength, her service, and the love that continues to move through this mission.

And clearly, she still knows how to dance. 💃🏾❤️
