💙Transparent Post 💖 Just thinking how far I’ve come as a real true single mother from 2008 losing my husband by murder and having to figure out life with 4young kids n I was young myself with not much support except a few friends but now when I look at this photo damn we’ve come far n I am good for thinking I’m not doing enough or I make bad decisions but this photo n to know I DID THIS SHIT WITH NO FINANCIAL help from his family, no Emotional help n never had a sitter but im still mentally stable listen it’s a Win no matter what anyone says or think . Too many ppl judge n could never fathom how they could go thru what I went thru n still able to smile it was All God. I’ve never had time or room to be soft all I knew was to be hard I had no luxury at being relaxing I had to be in control bcuz I had too many ppl relying on me so all I knew was to have a wall up . So when I get so many DMs on why I don’t trust or whatever this is why , I have yet to been able to be soft n protected n loved correctly bcuz all I knew was how to give it but not how to accept it until now. When you have to become the Mother n Father, financially n emotionally n physically for children at a very young age life gets real real n you don’t n won’t understand unless you walked in my shoes or been thru the very same ordeal. Don’t get me wrong it was very hard but I’m so grateful bcuz it made me stronger n taught me if I could do that alone I can get pass n thru anything n hardships or obtain what I put my heart into. So for anyone that knows a youn mother or father that feel like it’s too hard tell them it’s not time to give up it’s time to lean on God more n push thru it will work out. I look at each of my 4 kids n how they all are living their best life in their careers, living in different states n in college listen I know if I didn’t do anything right I know I raised 3 black sons n a daughter better than I would have imagine not perfect but I did my very best n I know my late husband proud of me n when im down n hate parts of my life tribulations n check myself n look at this photo n I smile I am the shit at this huge thing called Motherhood ❤️ my son isn’t 22 he’s 23 now oops 😬 taken in Northeast Philadelphia by @iam_paulamonique

Happy Birthday to my favorite person My Aunt Joslin who is fighting ALS💪🏽She is one of the strongest, funniest, loving, fierceless, giving, happiest woman I know even through her battle the last 10years and look at God those doctors gave her only 2yrs to live after being diagnosed with ALS but God had other plans n my Aunt still has never shown a sign of pain or giving up! My Aunt laugh n smith n crack the funniest n nasty jokes til this day and I believe that helped with her disease n longevity of her life. So I am dedicating this to my Aunt who was raised with me in the same home, kept on her hip, took to me to the concerts (Our Favorite New Edition), taught how to fight🫣, loved me, let me steal her clothes, cuss me out,showed me what strength is,forgiveness, and always was so proud of me n would brag about me n was so happy to tell everyone I was her niece. She is more than my mom’s youngest sister and my aunt she my big sister and I love, adore and admire my Aunt/Sister Joslin 💝Happy Birthday Ole Head😘 by @iam_paulamonique
