POSTS STORIES REELS

I’ve been reflecting on my forced exit out of corporate into the life of a SAHM.

A year ago, I traded a career I spent years building for a job with no PTO, zero personal space, and three tiny bosses with VERY strong opinions. 😂

And what a year it’s been. 🤍

I watched Lawrence become the funniest, car-obsessed four-year-old and Emory and Kennedy turn ONE, develop wildly different personalities, and prove that twins are both the greatest blessing and a psychological experiment.

It’s been a year of endless snacks, milestones, overstimulation, and loving three little humans more than anything while counting down the minutes until bedtime.

And somewhere in between, I accidentally started a business.

What began as teaching a few people mahjong turned into Modern Mahj Society. Over 1,000 people taught, countless friendships, events, and a community I never saw coming. All built during nap times, late nights, and episodes of Bluey.

But this year has been about more than motherhood or mahjong.

It’s been about finding myself in a season where I thought I might lose myself. Learning I can miss the woman I was while loving who I’m becoming. That I can be grateful to stay home and still have really hard days. And that motherhood can be the most fulfilling thing I do without being the only thing I do.

Some days I feel like I’m doing it all. Other days, none of it well. But I was here for the ordinary Tuesdays, first birthdays, kitchen dance parties, sibling chaos, and all the little moments that turn out to be everything.

I spent years thinking success meant climbing a ladder and having a plan. Turns out, sometimes it looks like three happy kids, a chaotic house, and a business built around connection.

I didn’t choose how this chapter started, but I’m so grateful for where it’s taken me.

Turns out, getting pushed out of one seat just made room for me to build a whole new table. 🤍 by @iamalexwallace

I’ve been a mom for 4 years.

Lawrence Riggs Wallace you are a joy. To know him is to know his sweet and caring spirit. His hilarious way of getting his point across. His protective nature. His undeniable confidence. The very best son I could ever have. Love you to the moon big kid. It’s an honor to be your mom.

One day I’m really going to be embarrassing to my children. by @iamalexwallace

ICYMI.

It’s been such a joy and truly an honor to bring American Mahjong to Lincoln and watch this community fall in love with the game. 🀄️✨

Mahjong has a rich history rooted in Chinese culture, where it has brought families and friends around the table for generations. Now, American Mahjong is having a moment right here in the Good Life, and we feel so lucky to be a small part of it.

If you’ve been curious about learning, this is your sign. Our Mahjong 101 classes sell out quickly, so snag a spot when you see one and we’ll save you a seat around the table. 🤍

Thank you @1011news for sharing our story! by @iamalexwallace

Sidney crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈✨

Motherhood is weird because it transitions you into a caregiver. But Sidney…she cared for me in so many ways. Through heartbreak and loss. Job transitions and moves. Marriage and bringing babies home she was there through all of it. The very best girl.

A part of the Wallace crew is missing and we will never forget her ever. Rest easy sweet girl. by @iamalexwallace
