I remember the day one of my mom’s friends asked her if I was going through an identity crisis because she saw me rocking an Afro, when just the week before, my hair was green. 😂

I laughed so hard because what she perceived as an identity crisis was actually my intentional creative expression. The hair just went better with the outfit! LOL.

As a creative, whether it’s in music, branding, or style, I’ve never been afraid to be different.

I’ve spent years styling corporate clients, entrepreneurs, speakers, singers, musicians, and more. For me, it always boils down to elevated self-expression that makes a person feel good, look good, and walk confidently in who they are.

I’m older now, so you probably won’t catch me with green hair, but Mama still knows how to put it ON! 💁🏽‍♀️

My friend tells me almost every day that I should start a style page to show the ladies how to mix high-end and affordable fashion without compromising style.

She might be on to something… 🤔 by @iamantoniashaunee

Life isn’t linear. Rarely, if ever, will there be the perfect time.
Instead, we usually have an experience of THIS and THAT.

Our paths to success are often riddled with unforeseen circumstances that challenge us to the core, hurt our hearts, and sit heavily within our spirits, all while having to press forward to the finish line.

It’s the failing circumstances and naysayers that make you question if you really can do it.

It’s the broken relationships or loss of a loved one that grieves your emotions.

It’s the myriad of unexpected challenges along the way that threaten to steal your attention, change your mindset of commitment, and leave you questioning whether you were ever really dedicated in the first place.

These are the unspoken things that they don’t prepare you for in the invisible Handbook of Adulthood, but they’re usually a big part of the triumphant story that achievers tell at the end of it all.

While you’re trying to achieve THIS, you will be challenged with THAT …… now that you know that this is normal, don’t think that you’re an anomaly or somehow alone in the fight. Instead look up at the ones who already made it through and know that you can too.

We got this! Let’s finish strong💪🏾

My heart is aching💔
I am soooo hurt and so angry.
Lanita was my sister. We’ve been friends for years and I watched her fight like hell to beat this cancer.
She encouraged me and prayed over me on my worst days. She showed up and gave me understanding in ways that some of the people closest to me never have. She knew my pain and encouraged me through it although she was going through worse. She gave me hope.
She believed she would beat this. We all believed. And although I know that God’s decisions are best I’m so hurt. I sat here last week begging God to heal her because I knew she hadn’t returned my messages and something was wrong. I begged Him because I wanted her to live. I wanted to see her faith be honored in that way. I wanted her to be here for Blake and her mom. I wanted a good outcome for her but my sister is gone 😭. I am not ok. A swan song.

The final performance before the curtain closes on one chapter and a new one begins.

As part of Dylan’s graduation documentary, we wanted to create something special that she could look back on years from now and remember this moment in her life.

Who better to share that moment with than her big sister, Destiny?

Watching these two dance together was more than a beautiful scene for a video. It was a reminder of the bond they share, the memories they’ve created, and the love that has carried them through the years.

Dylan, this may be your last dance as a high school senior, but it is far from your last dance.

Your mom, Deuce, and I are so proud of you and the young woman you have become.

This one’s for you. Shout out to Dammeon for the drone shots and Mr. Perkins for being my second shooter! taken in Oakwood University by @iamantoniashaunee
