As I walked across that stage to embrace the fruits of God’s Work, I saw brief glimpses of younger versions of myself.

I first saw the version of myself who had just raced up to the top of the XFINITY Center steps during an amazing field trip experience, which would serve as the conformational catalyst sparking my interest about getting enrolled into UMD and incited confidence in fully embracing the growth of having my college experience.

Then, I saw a later version of myself in 2019 who was a participant in the UMUNC Model UN conference that was held on campus back in 2019 - that version in a similarly joyous emotional state while participating as mock delegate the country Niger (pronounced “nee-zhare”). A most impactful experience, this would further signal to me: “yeah, I feel God has filled me with His Spirit of Victory and is guiding my efforts towards this UMD space, so that’s where I am going to earn my education”!

I even saw the version of myself who had received his Associates Degree back in 2024 - who always kept thinking: NO MATTER WHAT, I was gonna be graduating as a TERP alumni someday.

And now…

THAT DAY IS TODAY!

The journey has been long, but amazing. I learned so much about myself, mediated communication, life within the college environment, business marketing, and critical analysis of rhetoric. But most importantly, I learned about how God was using the experience of those lessons to develop me further into being the type of person He can use to better serve His Plan.

I am truly honored knowing that fact alone, because when it comes down to the question of, “what type of mark do I wish to leave on this Earth?”, I Pray that it will be one in following with The Mark of Jesus Christ.

Many thanks to the support of @stephshonekan for organizing an amazing commencement ceremony, and to @jasonreynolds83 for delivering a deeply prophetic speech of uplift as us @univofmaryland seniors “step” in to this next phase of life.

Amen. 😇😌

As the seasons begin to change, I decided to make one myself and read the highly-anticipated memoir by @kaepernick7 titled: “The Perilous Fight.”

In completing the reading of this work, I am looking forward to sharing my own personal reflection on how it might impact the discourse of the ethnic-related issues in the culture’s present, while also observing how the text shines a light that helps us better understand how we can progress forward on the path to a better tomorrow. ✝️✝️✝️✝️✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

For those that know me, Y’ALL KNOW I’M A FULL-ON PRINCE FANATIC! 💜🕊️🎶

Just wanted to take a minute and reflect on the 10-year anniversary of The Artist’s passing (R. I. P. @prince).

Also, wanted to giving this moment to shoutout the phenomenal retailers that still chose to sell CDs and physical media merchandise for music-heads like myself to consume in support of these amazing artists! 👍🏽👌🏽
