Algodrithm, a Sacred Book, is the most important project I have ever worked on. It changed my life and my worldview.

I became aware of how little control we have over our social media habits, and how they are directed by powerful codes written into these platforms to make us sabotage our dreams, seek validation, alter our self-esteem, and keep us all hooked on dopamine.

The Sacred Book, Algodrithm, will NOT make you stop using social media. But it will at least wake you up to how much of yourself you’ve surrendered to these codes, or god.

I am sure it will wake you up, because it woke me up.

Algodrithm, the Sacred Book, makes no pretence. It presents these powerful codes as what they are: an omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent god that is everywhere, knows everything about you, and has the power to make you doomscroll as your life looks on from the sidelines.

The Algodrithm project is an unforgettable satire that transcends the pages of the book into live performances and experiences. Very soon, you’ll get to read through the pages and live in the performances.

You will witness in flesh what we’ve all quietly agreed to worship.

Praise be to Algodrithm.

The Voice That Won’t Go Quiet

@thehookng

After 10 years in advertising, Toheeb Dele-Balogun took the jump and built a business that’s generated billions of naira — millions of dollars — in revenue.

He says entrepreneurship isn’t something you can read or seminar your way into. And failure? It doesn’t exist. You either win or learn.

100 years from now, we’ll all just be stories. Make yours worth telling.

Congratulations, my brother, Chief @idrisolorunnimbe !

Your confirmation as the Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is truly well-deserved. I’m proud of you and excited to see the impact you’ll make.

May Almighty Allah guide you, strengthen you, and bless this new chapter of service to our nation. by @iambalogun

Entries to The Dele-Balogun Prize for Flash Fiction are now closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted a story. We look forward to sharing the longlist soon

…

We live in the most distracted era ever, so literature as we know it must evolve to keep shaping the moral conscience of society. In a world where ethics and morality are traded for likes and shares, the thoughtful pens of writers must be inked again to deliver stories in doses the world can easily absorb.

That’s why I started The Burnt Stories Project to tell stories that provoke thought as quickly as possible. And now, with The Dele-Balogun Prize for Flash Fiction, I want to encourage even more people to tell powerful stories using the fewest words possible.

If you have a story to tell, head to the bio to share it. The world can’t wait to read it.

If we don’t tell our stories, no one will hear them. @jrandlecentre is not just a beautiful place, it is a living archive of stories that might have been forgotten. by @iambalogun

A month ago, we did the unprecedented. Launched a multi-modal storytelling project, “Don’t tell these stories”. It was simultaneously literature, visual art, illustration, installation and performance.

The best part was the people that showed up. They made it an evening of love and conversation.
