June is here! 🥳🥳

A few days ago, we were at Mile 12, connecting with students and holding space for the conversations we all wished we’d had while growing up.

If there is one thing we’re taking into this new month, it’s that impact isn't always about grand gestures. Sometimes, it’s simply about being there, sharing knowledge, and making someone feel seen.

That is exactly the energy we are carrying into June. We aren't slowing down, and more importantly, we aren't doing it alone.
Let’s keep building, keep showing up, and keep creating spaces that matter.

January 2026 was that month we all suddenly became very intentional. 😂

New year, new goals, new habits, new plans… and of course, the vision boards to make sure we do not forget any of them.

Earlier this year, we had a retreat where we took some time to reflect, answer some important questions, and put our goals and aspirations on paper.

I filmed this vlog then, but somehow, it has taken me this long to find the courage to post it. 😂

Watching it again today, though, made me appreciate the exercise even more. Sometimes, you don’t realise how much you’ve thought about your life, your goals and your growth until you actually write them down.

Those answers become a record of where you were, what mattered to you, and what you hoped to achieve. And when you look back months later, they give you a chance to measure the journey, not just the destination.

So, if you made a list of resolutions, set goals, created a vision board or simply had a picture of what you wanted this year to look like, go back and look at it.
You may be surprised by what has changed, what has happened, and most importantly, how much you’ve grown. ✨

If you knew how many times I second guessed this ehn, you would clap for me twice, maybe even thrice! 😭👏🏽

But I did it! As part of the SDG Advocate Programme, I got to introduce the students to the 17 Global Goals and honestly, the way these kids were understanding it ehn, even me I started asking myself, “Wait… is teaching my hidden calling? I sabi teacher oo!” 😭😂

Our main focus was SDG 3: Good Health & Well-Being, and these students broke it down like pros from hygiene, mental health, clean water, safety, exercise… they were analysing it like future ministers of health. 🌍💚

We laughed, learned, shared ideas, and turned global issues into simple, everyday actions they can start immediately.

In that moment, between their excitement and their questions, I remembered why advocacy matters so deeply. So yes… what started with doubt turned into a moment I’m truly proud of.

Here’s to impact, learning, and discovering that maybe, just maybe teaching fits me small. 😌
