I know I look crazy, but hear me out..

14 years ago today, celebrating the success of Mighty High Coup’s hit song “808” we invited Kilo Ali to come perform at the very first @808fest.

We teamed up with the Omen Agency ( @Iamblacknicholson ) to book Kilo Ali’s (first?) performance after his time he spent locked up. If you want more details on that, there is a videoed interview from 2012 you can find with a quick google with @ChadRad interviewing Kilo Ali.

This was on Wednesday August 8, 2012 and we had over 500 people come to 808fest, which that year was a partnership with Wobble Wednesday, Connect Lounge, Abraham of Black Lion Cafe, The Omen Agency and a whole lot of talented Bass Music DJ’s & producers.

At one point the fire department did show up and I was worried that we may get shut down. On the contrary, about 6 firemen were simply asking to attend the show. I recall that one of them said “Is Kilo here? Can we come in?” and my heart was instantly full and in that moment, I felt successful, a fleeting moment of pride.

That night was probably the 3rd time I had met Kilo and I was in complete disbelief, as shown by the photo. The entire night was a dream come true, to share the stage with one of your heroes.

Since then we have done quite a few more events, some years being for multiple nights in multiple venues. Last year was extremely special when we were lucky enough to team up with @ReeDeLaVega at @PiscesATL where I was reminded once again that a big party in a small room is always the best. So this year we are doing just that and partying one night, in the name of Bass at Sunset Atlanta from 10pm-?!

Thank you Atlanta for all of the years of love and support.
Tonight, for 808fest 2026, I invite you to come dance and connect with the community!
-Ricky
Oh yeah, and as far as the pic, you will see me making some wild face every time I am lucky enough to standing next to a legend! Speaking of legends, see yall on Sep 6. IYKYK

🙌🏾 Praise GOD! Happy Birthday to Me! 🎉🎂

Today, I’m the star 🌟 , and it feels so good! Another trip around the sun. Another year older, another year bolder👑.

Today I celebrate the journey, the struggles that taught me resilience, and the victories that made me stronger. I’m wiser, and more confident in who GOD created me to be. Self-love looks good on me❤️.

I’m grateful for every lesson, every blessing, and every challenge that has shaped my path. I’m excited for the chapters still waiting to be written💯.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the precious gift of another year of life. Thank You for Your unfailing love, protection, mercy, and grace that carried me through this past year. As I step into this new season, I place my life in Your hands. Guide my steps, grant me wisdom, strengthen my faith, and keep me close to YOU. Forgive me for my shortcomings, and help me live each day with purpose, love, and compassion, shining Your light everywhere I go.

I pray for continued happiness, good health, favor, peace, and prosperity. Not only for myself but for everyone I love. Amen 🤲🏾

Here’s to more adventures, more laughter, more memories, more money, and more opportunities to make a difference💰.

Thank You, GOD, for another year. I know that the best is yet to come! ❤️🤲🏾🎉

Father… Happy Heavenly Birthday #LeviNicholson 🎂
I know I haven’t posted since you made your transition. Forgive me. I haven’t even posted Mom, because honoring y’all without having both of you here in the physical still hurts in ways I can’t fully explain🥹.

I feel you with me all the time. Your presence never left. Your legend lives on through the good deeds, wisdom, and integrity you showed while you were here on earth. People still speak on your name and the impact you made👑.

I’m forever thankful for the life you gave me, and the life skills you poured into me. You didn’t just teach me how to survive… you taught me how to thrive💪🏽.

I love you always. Your legacy lives through your children. 🕊️

🎉 SURPRISE! Ooops oh, well. Okay… I just thought about it 😊

♑️ With you being born on the same day as the late great #Aaliyah (RIP), I probably should’ve leaned that way musically. And respectfully, @Sade (Helen) would’ve been perfect too since you share the same birthday — she just doesn’t have a birthday song, LOL🤣.

🎂 Happy Birthday to a true superwoman. Tina, you are truly unmatched. Words can’t fully describe you — especially in a world that isn’t always pretty — but your spirit shines through it all. Spiritually, mentally, and physically, you are destined for continued blessings because you treat people right and lead with kindness, integrity, and love🫶🏾.

🌹You are beautiful inside and out, and I love you to infinity and back. On your special day, I want you to know how deeply appreciated you are. Thank you for being such an incredible part of my life. I pray for more healing, more success, true happiness, and most of all God’s protection over you and our families.

It’s your time. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. 💯🩵✨

🩵 OFFICIAL UPDATE from the #GoTinaPGoTribe 🩵
•
If you haven’t heard, GOD has truly blessed our girl Tina P with a successful surgery! 🙌🏾 Can we get a big #GoTinaPGo in the comments🩵❓
•
On behalf of Tina P and the Tribe, we wanted to share a quick post-surgery update and a few moments from her healing journey. When Tina couldn’t sleep in the early a.m., she recorded a personal message for everyone — and we’ve paired it with video we captured as she was being rolled into surgery. It’s raw, real, and a reminder of how strong faith can be when fear tries to take over. 🙏🏾
•
Tina P wants each of you to know this from the bottom of her heart:
•
“When I woke up and read the messages people sent me… I started crying. So many kind words — even from people I don’t even know.” 💌
•
Your love and prayers gave Tina P courage. Courage to keep sharing her story and to raise awareness for those battling fibroids everywhere. It truly takes a village, and this Tribe has already shown up in ways words can’t describe. 💪🏾🩵
•
Right now, Tina P is resting and healing. The pain has been tough, and she’s being very careful with her medication. Avoiding opioids and leaning on faith, laughter, and music to get her through. If you know Tina P, you know she doesn’t drink, smoke, or do drugs — her only addiction has always been creating music. 🎶
•
So as Tina P begins her journey to #SHAKEback❗️ Keep those prayers, comments, and positive vibes coming. Every message matters. Every word lifts her spirit.
•
Thank you, Tribe. We love y’all deeply. 🩵

•

•
Here’s to living life to the fullest.
