Hey, allow me to introduce myself again 😊 My name is Brittany, and I live in Charlotte, NC. I’m a fiancée, sister, friend and entrepreneur. Owner/Founder of BH Tax Prep Solutions. If you’re new here, welcome! And if you’ve been following me for a while on my other page, thank you for being here and watching my journey. 🫶🏽 I started my tax business because I wanted more than just a business. I wanted to create financial freedom, build something of my own, and create a life that allows me to live unapologetically on my own terms. Over the years, I’ve learned that taxes are about so much more than filing a return. There are so many people who work hard all year but don’t fully understand what’s happening with their money, their tax forms, their deductions, or even why they owe or receive a refund. That’s where I come in. 🧾💰 My goal as a Tax Consultant is to make taxes easier to understand, educate my clients, and help them feel confident throughout the tax process. Whether you’re a W-2 employee, self-employed, a business owner, or someone working in the gig economy, I want you to know that you deserve to understand your numbers. I HAD IT ALL. I LOST IT ALL. NOW I’M REBUILDING. 🙏🏽❤️ Let me be transparent… Life has humbled me in ways I never imagined. I’ve experienced having it all and watching things I worked so hard for slip away. I’ve had to rebuild my peace, my confidence, my finances, and most importantly, myself. It hasn’t been easy. I’ve cried, questioned things, and fought battles nobody knew about. But through it all, GOD NEVER LEFT ME. 🙌🏽 I’m no longer chasing the life I once had. I’m trusting God to lead me into the life He has prepared for me. This season is about growth, discipline, faith, and becoming a better version of myself. I don’t have everything figured out, but one thing I know for certain: GOD HAS ME COVERED. My mind is stayed on Him, my faith is stronger than my circumstances, and I’m trusting His timing. I had it. If you’re a DoorDash driver, keeping good records throughout the year can make tax time much easier. 1. Create a “DoorDash Taxes” folder Use your phone, Google Drive, Dropbox, or another cloud storage service. Create folders or envelops (Label them) -⛽ Gas & fuel -🔧 Car repairs & maintenance -📱 Phone bill -🚗 Tolls & parking -🧾 Supplies/equipment -📄 Insurance and registration -💳 Other business expenses 2. Use paper clips for all receipts and separate into different piles that you categorized. This will help your tax preparer when filing your tax return. 3. Keep a mileage log For DoorDash, your business mileage can often be more valuable than keeping individual gas receipts, because you generally use either the standard mileage method or actual vehicle expenses NOT both for the same vehicle in the same way.
