Layering in the mountains with @stio ⛰️✨ #ad

If there’s one hike you cannot miss in Rainier National Park it’s the skyline trail but more importantly you should always make sure you’re prepared.

Since the temperature can change drastically in the mountains you should always pack extra layers no matter how warm it seems outside.

Typically you’ll want natural materials that are moisture wicking and quick drying to keep your temperature regulated while you sweat.

During the summer months these are the typical layers I like to pack:

Base top: Essential Ribbed Tee in Pebble Heather
Pants: Glide Tech Leggings in Stormy Weather
Mid layer: Sweetwater Fleece in Mountain Goat Heather
Outer layer: Ender Hooded Jacket in Windchill
Hat: Alpine Flora Hat in Stone
Backpack: Cacher Backpack 16L in Mountain Shadow

📍Skyline Trail
- 5.7mile loop
- 1,781 feet gain

Disclaimer: Sometimes when you get dressed in the dark at 5am you end up putting your pants on backwards... 🙋🏻‍♀️😅Yep, I did that however it’s pretty cool to know these pants can be worn either direction!

Just a reminder that we have 10 days left of summer 🥲☀️

The ending of a season is always a little bittersweet for me but I try to embrace the change as it comes. As much as I’m going to miss these hot summer days cooling off at the swimming hole, I truly am excited for the crisp cold days to come…🍂

The perfect way to end a trip to Rainier🌲🥾⛰️

After a long weekend on the trails we traded our hiking boots for swimsuits and spent the morning enjoying the cannibal hot tub along with the sauna and cold plunge. There’s nothing like soaking outside, enjoying the crisp fresh air while being surrounded by trees and mountains.

Whether you’re on a sister’s trip like us, with your significant other or on a solo adventure you’ve got to add this wonderful slice of paradise to your itinerary!
