The election is one week from today. If you haven’t already, GO VOTE. Vote early, vote by mail, make a plan to vote on Election Day, put on your favorite hat to tempt the proud boys and just get it done. Don’t be intimidated by those trying to disrupt the process, or discouraged because our choices aren’t perfect. Your vote won’t fix everything and it’s not meant to. Vote for people you can work with, and push, and drag kicking and screaming toward progress...people who believe in the right of the least among us to exist and pursue happiness, who believe in science and are willing to face up to the basic responsibilities of governance...the choices should be pretty obvious. #votenow #votethewayyouseeit by @iamcamronj

New stay home toy. Practicing persistence and staying loose in the face of shifting uncertainty. But that’s where the metaphors end. It’s nice to do physical things that are strange and totally pointless. I tried this once a few years ago, on a much shorter slackline. Spent today grocery shopping for the next three weeks and missed most of the great weather, but it’s a perfect evening for a quarantine fire. Grateful every day that we have a yard. Obligatory quarantine breadmaking post. First attempt at the FWSY method (which I’ve been wanting to try for years); the results were delicious. It was supposed to be an overnight rise but measuring yeast in tiny quantities proved tricky—in the morning it looked dead but I left it alone anyway and it turned out to be ready to bake around the 24hr mark. I dub him Lazarus loaf, rest in pieces Laz (we ate him already). 2nd one is on the way (last pic, double the yeast this time so it rose in about 13 hrs...)

I’m pleased to announce that pretty much all we did on Thursday was drink coffee, swing on these swings, look at old houses, and taste delicious seasonal beer.

Yes that’s a river and the coffee shop is right behind me. What @elijicadawn was saying when I took that photo, for those of you who can’t read lips, is “you’re such a doofus”
