✵ Artist Spotlight: Cape Wrath – LiveNamed after the most northwestern point of mainland Scotland, Cape Wrath explores the weight of distance, from place, from people, from earlier versions of yourself. The project blends sparse contemporary folk with drone and ambient textures, music that moves through memory and landscape with patience and quiet intensity.Live, Cape Wrath unfolds slowly: processed guitar, and layered pedal noise create expansive soundscapes where Celtic folk fragments meet bluesy vocal lines and controlled distortion. The music reflects a long-term sense of un-belonging, the feeling of being shaped by a place even after leaving it behind, and the isolation that comes from trying to remain connected to something increasingly remote. A meditation on what remains in the spaces between.Dreamscape Festival takes place 13–15 March in Tallinn, Estonia. ʷᵉᵈⁿᵉˢᵈᵃʸ / ¹³.⁰⁸ / ¹⁹:⁰⁰Discomfort Dispatch finally makes its way to Cabaret Volta tomorrow, making it the last event of the Tallinn takeover series and 62nd event in the whole Discomfort Dispatch history. Discomfort Dispatch is a transnational, decentralized collective for experimental improvised music. The event format is designed to foster new collaborations and connections between performing artists while offering a unique original show for the audience.It was initiated by a collective already in 2016 and has since evolved to embrace a decentralized structure; independent collaborators organize Discomfort Dispatch events without specific hierarchies, guiding principles, or territorial constraints. Discomfort Dispatch is a platform for collaborations between diverse artists to promote diversity, hybridization, and artistic experimentation. Individuals are encouraged to contribute to and independently organize their own editions at any time and in any location. Discomfort Dispatch curation predominantly revolves around musicians and is open to artists from various disciplines who explore the boundaries and potential of improvisation.The duos and trios are debuting for the first ever time. The name “Discomfort Dispatch” metaphorically refers to the awkwardness experienced by the performers.
