I don’t do this publicly often, but maybe I should more.

I just want to tell my family how much I love them.

To my girls: you may not be able to read this yet, but I still want you to know how proud and blessed I am to be your father. God has truly blessed me with you two. I pray I steward you well and do my part in leading you down the right path. I pray that what I do as a father helps you become everything God has called you to be. I can’t wait to see who y’all grow into. I love y’all so much.

To my beautiful wife: thank you. You’ve been my rock through my highest victories and my lowest defeats. You’ve stood by me even when times were extremely hard. Though we got married young, I’ve never regretted making the decision to walk through life with you.

I love spending every day with you; seeing you laugh, watching you dance, hearing your voice, and even playing video games together from time to time. And though I know I get on your nerves sometimes, just know I annoy you out of love.

I’m proud to be your husband, lucky to call you my wife, and blessed to call you my best friend. I know I don’t always say it or show it enough, but I love you deeply. I could write thousands of songs about you and it still wouldn’t be enough to express how much you mean to me (and I’ve already written like 10… 4 or 5 you know about lol so I still have a long way to go).

Point is: I truly appreciate everything you do for me. And you’ve given me one of the greatest gifts any man could ask for — the opportunity to be a father.

I pray the love I have for you never becomes familiar. I pray that I continue to grow and lead this family well. And I pray that God continues shaping me into the man, husband, and father I need to be.
