Most people wait for a “reason” to move.

But it’s rarely one big moment.

It’s the quiet thoughts.
The small frustrations.
The feeling that your home no longer matches your life.

That’s usually when the shift begins.
Real estate isn’t about one house.
It’s about what that house makes possible next.

You don’t have to start big.
You just have to start in a way that moves you forward.

Relocating to Arizona? Let me send you the top 5 neighborhoods I would show you today. Comment “ARIZONA” for that list.

Most buyers think they’re choosing a house.

But they’re really choosing how their life is going to feel every day.

The commute.
The schools.
Where they spend their weekends.
How their evenings look.

When we start with the neighborhood first,
everything else becomes a lot more clear.

The house just becomes the final piece.

Relocating from California? Drop your timeline below and I’ll answer your biggest question.

Traveling is really my love language.

I’m on a mission to save $100k over the next 365 days but let me tell you, I am booking a trip for next year somewhere with my family.

Thinking Japan…but possibly Bora Bora.

What are your thoughts? Should I focus on the $100k savings first or take a break and spend a little 🤣

$20k in a Roth at 18. No additional deposits. Forty years of compound interest at 8% market average. Approximately $435k. That’s not a lucky break. That’s time. That’s why starting your kids early with retirement accounts isn’t just smart, it’s life-changing. You’re 40 and didn’t start at 18. That’s your story. But it doesn’t have to be theirs. If they have earned income, they can open a Roth. $7,500 limit in 2026 if under 50. Talk to your CPA about how to set this up.

Financial disclaimer: I’m always here to inspire, but don’t forget to consult with your CPA, attorney, or financial advisor before doing anything.

Don’t ever feel like you’re behind. I’m in my forties and I’m starting something new too. And honestly, I’m grateful for the timing.

The average side hustle starts at 38, not 25. Career pivots happen at 39, not 30. Buying a home happens at 38, not 23. Starting a business happens at 43, not 18. Building a successful business takes five plus years, not six months. Changing your physique takes years, not six months. The average millionaire is 57, not 25. Financial independence happens at 55 and beyond, not 30.

You’re not late. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. At 20, I didn’t have the knowledge. At 30, I didn’t have the confidence. At 40, I have both. Plus the wisdom to know what actually matters.

Stop comparing your chapter two to someone else’s chapter ten. 🤎

Follow along if you’re on a mission to try something new.

I cut 8 things because the price-to-value ratio stopped working for me. But here’s what I didn’t cut. My car’s paid off, and I’m keeping it that way. No more car payments unless it’s a business vehicle, which gets me a Section 179 write-off anyway. Concerts. I love them. I’m dropping serious money on a show with friends this year, and yeah, the ticket prices are insane, but the memories are worth it. Once a year, maybe twice if the budget allows. And food. I’m a foodie, but I’m not paying restaurants $30 a plate for something I can make at home. I hit up my favorite food creators on Instagram, grab the recipe, and get to work. The difference is intentional spending versus bleeding money without thinking about it. One feels good. The other just feels empty.

If you’re cutting the noise and redirecting that money somewhere that actually builds wealth, follow along. I’m tracking every dollar I’m not spending, every cut I’m making, and where it’s going instead. We’re in this together.👊

But I’ve watched that money disappear for years. Every check gone before it landed. Ok maybe not every check but it’s felt like that at times.

So I built a system instead.

Taxes first (at least 30%, sometimes more). Personal expenses second (spend every dollar, earn nothing sitting there). Credit cards third (full balance, no games). IRA fourth (minimum 7500 if under 50, but talk to your CPA about your situation). HYSA last (whatever remains builds wealth).

It’s boring. It’s not sexy. But it’s the only way I’m actually keeping money instead of just earning it.

🤎

I’m always here to inspire, but don’t forget to consult with your CPA, attorney, or financial advisor before doing anything. This is just what I do and strictly informational. Don’t take it as the gospel please

P.S. I don’t follow a recipe but if you have starving teens this is a great one to have on deck for when they get home from school. Slow Cooker Pot Roast with veggies and potatoes. Google it or use AI. I’m no chef.

As I move through the my 40’s I am reminded that’s it’s the small things that matter:

Listening to my kids tell stories about their day
Dinner with my parents
Concerts with friends
Ability to walk my neighborhood without pain
45 min phone calls with my best friend
Text message from someone saying they are proud of me and to keep up the good work
Invitation to try something new

It all matters and means so much and truly is the definition of luxury. by @iamcerita
