Clear your calendar. Find something fabulous. We’re celebrating us. 🥂✨

The third annual YVR Creatives Holiday Party is happening Thursday, December 3, and you won’t want to miss this one.

An evening for women with big ambitions to get dressed up, enjoy good company, and celebrate everything they’ve put into this year. With a little sparkle, naturally.

💬 Comment, party, to get on the waitlist for first access to tickets and early bird pricing.

Consider this your heads-up before the invitations go out. 💋

As my 40th birthday crept closer,I found myself resentful of younger women and their glowing skin.

I envied moms who juggled both family and careers. And underneath it all, I carried this heavy belief that no one in my life actually liked me and I was broken.

That was the breaking point.

I started writing—feverishly, obsessively—late at night and in the margins of my day. I had to get the thoughts out in black and white.

Something in me knew that what I needed most was a deeper connection with myself. I had to stop believing the lies I had been repeating for so long.

That’s when I began the work of becoming her.

🌱 The woman who is comfortable in her own skin, except when she’s dancing. 😘

🌱 The woman who catches herself quickly when she slips into comparison mode.

🌱 The woman who sees her triggers not as threats, but as signs of what she longs to call into her life.

🌱 The woman who empowers, who stands up to hustle and who trusts her vision is hers for the taking. 👊

In 2019, I hit my breaking point. That was the moment I decided: no more drifting, no more hiding. It was time to take control.

And step by step, story by story, I’ve been becoming her.

Who are you becoming?

BIG NEWS! 🎉

I just found out @feedspotdotcom named me one of the Top 25 Mom Bloggers in Vancouver, and guess what?!

You’re looking at lucky number 23! ✨

I'm feeling incredibly grateful to be recognized alongside so many inspiring Vancouver moms who are showing up, sharing their stories, and building community.

It’s wild to think this little corner of the internet made the list! 💻💕

Feedspot ranks blogs based on relevancy, authority, social media following & freshness, so this is a huge honour.

And now, if you’re new here, a little about what you can expect:

👉 If you’re looking for a perfectly curated, aesthetic family feed—this isn’t it. We’ve tried that, and, spoiler alert, it doesn’t work here.

👉 If you’re after the latest healthy recipes your kids will actually eat or Pinterest-worthy STEM projects to make them geniuses… keep scrolling.

👉 But if you’re a mom just trying to figure it out, balancing big dreams, family life, and wellness—and usually dropping the ball on at least one—welcome home. I’m your girl. 😅🫠😂

I’m here to keep it real, to share the messy middle, and to remind you that we don’t need to have it all together to support each other.

I may not have all the answers, but I *do* know that when moms cheer each other on (without judgment), we make this world a whole lot better.

I'm glad you're here.
💕 Christine

I’ve lived in Maple Ridge for 10 years, and for 10 years this has been my favourite store. Not one of my favourites. THE favourite.⁣ 🥰
⁣
Favorite Finds is a take-your-time, wander-slowly kind of place. There’s a treasure tucked into every corner, and just when you think you’ve seen it all, you turn around, and there’s more. Ten years in, and it still surprises me.⁣
⁣
But the real treasure is the owner, Antonella. People literally come in just to talk to her. She’s that warm, that genuine, that much of a connector. And the space she’s created is really an extension of her heart. You can feel it the second you walk through the door.⁣
⁣
If you’ve never been, this is your sign to go. And if you have, you already know 💕⁣

If you’re the CEO, the marketing department AND the person who restocks the printer paper… you deserve a company Christmas party. 🥂

And since nobody’s throwing one for you, we are.

Year three. 100 women in business. One very sparkly night.

You’ve spent all year building a business and a life on your own terms: making the calls, taking the risks, and doing it all in between school pickups and client calls.

This is the night you put on something fabulous, leave the to-do list at home and celebrate like the boss you are.

Trust me, you don’t want to hear about this one secondhand.

And to the brands who love these women as much as we do: we’re looking for partners to help make this THE Christmas party of the season.

Sponsorships and vendor spots are open Wednesday, and our gorgeous presenting partner spot is still up for grabs.

These women lead our communities all year long, and they deserve to be celebrated in style.

DM us and let’s make it fabulous. 💋

Consider yourself warned. 😅

Porter just walked in his last elementary school Halloween parade dressed as something straight out of my nightmares.

Not sure what’s scarier: the costume or the fact that this is his last year. I’m not well.

Time is a trip. 🫠 by @iamchristinecoughlin

I called my mom to ask whether it was me or my sister who dressed up as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

She said, and I quote:

“You always had to be pretty, like when you were the purple wizard.” 😂

So, now that I’m in charge of my own costume design you best believe I will not be a bearded purple wizard.

Are you team sexy or are you with my Mom?

Happy Halloween! 👻

This week has me running on fumes. Deadlines, events, a to-do list that keeps growing… and as much as I love Halloween, I wondered if I should skip adding our car to the school Trunk or Treat.

So I told Maddie the truth: my capacity was low, but if she took the lead on the design, I was in.

She totally nailed it!! 👻

The giant ghost face is all her. Then we raided our front porch for the rest and made it work together.

I’m getting better at this: not doing it all, but knowing what matters most and getting creative about how it gets done.

Saying no (or “not like this”) to some things so I can say yes to the moments I’ll be grateful for at 90.

What’s the one thing you protect, even in a crazy week? 👇 by @iamchristinecoughlin

Year one was cute. Year two was a really great time. Year three is getting the full glow-up. 🌟

Bring the outfit you’ve been saving. Leave the laptop at home.

I don’t know about you, but I didn’t start my business to be trapped inside an office all day.

I want connection, creativity and play to be regular parts of my professional life. So I created what I needed.

Getting to build my business alongside other women who share that sense of adventure is a gift I’ll never stop appreciating.

Thank you to @heyyacarts for bringing more play and adventure to our city! There’s nothing more fun than hopping on one of their street-legal golf carts and exploring our gorgeous city. 🤌

So, do you need more play in your life? ✨ by @iamchristinecoughlin

Here’s the truth:
Yesterday I was on top of the world.
Today I felt scattered, pulled in a thousand different directions, and couldn’t get into my flow.

Some days I feel like I’ve got this. Other days, I question myself constantly and wonder what I’ve gotten myself into.

Today I committed to a daily flow-writing practice. Because one thing I know for sure: seeing all those thoughts in black and white always helps me feel more grounded.

Day one starts tomorrow. Wish me luck. 🥰 by @iamchristinecoughlin
