Not every blessing comes without a price.

Medusa entered Olympus looking for acceptance, guidance, and somewhere to belong.

Athena saw something different.

What began as admiration slowly became attachment.
Attachment became jealousy.
And jealousy would eventually help change Medusa’s life forever.

MEDUSA: THE WOMAN BEHIND THE MYTH

An original feature screenplay currently being brought to life through a visual proof of concept.

This isn’t the story of how a monster was born.
It’s the story of how one was made.

What if everything you were told about Medusa was only the ending?

Before the snakes. Before the curse. Before history called her a monster… she was a young woman searching for belonging.

MEDUSA: THE WOMAN BEHIND THE MYTH is an original feature screenplay that reimagines the legend through an all-Black cast and asks a different question:

What happens when the gods create the very monster they fear?

This image is part of a visual proof-of-concept I’m creating from the screenplay — bringing the world, characters, romance, jealousy, power, betrayal, and mythology to life one scene at a time.

This story deserves to be seen on screen.

🎬 Producers. Directors. Actors. Casting professionals. Production companies. Writers.

If this world speaks to you, I’d love for you to follow the journey, share it, or connect.

This is only the beginning.

You know the monster. But do you know the woman? 🐍

MEDUSA: THE WOMAN BEHIND THE MYTH

Before the snakes. Before the stone. Before Perseus came for her head… Medusa was a young woman trying to find where she belonged.

My reimagining of the Medusa legend explores her journey through an all-Black world of gods and mortals—where love, jealousy, obsession and betrayal ultimately create the monster history remembers.

What if Medusa wasn’t born a monster? What if the gods created one?

Fear of failure can often be more paralyzing than failure itself because it prevents action and growth. However, in fitness and muscle development, failure is actually a catalyst for growth. Muscles grow stronger by being pushed to their limits, experiencing micro-tears, and then repairing themselves to handle greater stress in the future.
Similarly, personal growth often comes from pushing past mental and emotional barriers, learning from setbacks, and using those experiences to build resilience. Whether in the gym or in life, failure isn’t the end—it’s part of the process. by @iamdacolorred
