Eddie went off on his Year 6 residential this morning 🥹

I honestly can’t believe that the little 4 year old boy whose hand I held on his very first day of primary school is now confidently walking off on adventures of his own.

It feels like only yesterday I was dropping him off at Reception and now here we are in his final year of primary school.

Before I know it, he’ll be starting secondary school and I don’t think I’m quite ready for that.

I’m so proud of the boy he’s becoming, but I can’t help wishing time would slow down just a little.

My firstborn really is growing up in the blink of an eye ❤️ by @iamdaniellekorkurt

Can we please take the pressure off parents to make every single day of half term an adventure?! 😅

Because honestly, when did spending a day at home become something we should feel guilty about?

Not every day needs to be filled with activities, soft play, expensive days out or a packed schedule.

Some days it’s staying in our pyjamas until midday, watching films, having snacks, making a mess with toys and just enjoying being at home.

And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Our children don’t need us to constantly entertain them or spend money to make their childhood special.

They’re allowed to be bored. They’re allowed to have slow days. And we’re allowed to have a day where we don’t have to be anywhere!

Sometimes doing absolutely nothing is exactly what everyone needs. 🤍

Surely I’m not the only mum who thinks we’ve put far too much pressure on ourselves to make every school holiday unforgettable?! by @iamdaniellekorkurt

I think one of the scariest things in life is realising just how quickly your circumstances can change.

One minute you think you’ve got everything figured out, and the next you’re questioning things you never thought you’d have to worry about.

Your future.
Your finances.
Your security.

And I think as women, we sometimes become so caught up in building a life that we forget how important it is to build something for ourselves too.

Something that gives us independence.

Something that gives us choices.

Something that reminds us we’re capable of standing on our own two feet, regardless of what life throws our way.

Because the truth is, none of us know what the future holds.

And whilst we can’t control everything that happens in life, we can take steps towards creating a future where we’re not entirely dependent on someone else or circumstances staying the same.

Whether that’s building a business, working on your career, learning new skills or simply finding the confidence to do something you’ve always wanted to do.

Never underestimate how important it is to have something that’s yours.

Not because you expect the worst, but because you deserve to feel secure in yourself, whatever happens.

And if you’re a woman who’s quietly working towards building something of her own, even if nobody else understands why it’s so important to you…

I hope you never stop backing yourself 🤍 by @iamdaniellekorkurt

I absolutely love being a mum, but I also love the woman I’m becoming outside of motherhood 💖

And I don’t think we should ever feel guilty for wanting to work on ourselves, chase our own goals or build something that’s just as much for us as it is for our families.

Whether that’s getting back into the gym, building an online business, looking after your mental health or simply making more time for the things that make you happy.

You can be completely devoted to your children and still have ambitions of your own.

For me, building an online business is about creating more opportunities, more choices and a future that I’m genuinely excited about.

And getting stronger, healthier and more confident along the way? That’s something I’m doing for myself.

Because becoming a mum doesn’t mean you stop becoming the woman you want to be.

Surely I’m not the only mum who feels this way? by @iamdaniellekorkurt

Becoming a mum didn’t make me any less ambitious. If anything, it gave me even more reasons to want to succeed.

And it’s not just about money.

It’s about having choices, creating opportunities, making memories and being able to give my children experiences without constantly worrying about everything else.

I absolutely love being a mum but I also have goals and dreams of my own and I don’t believe the two should have to compete with each other.

I want to be present for my children, watch them grow, be there for the important moments and still build something that gives us more freedom in the future.

And that’s a big part of why I decided to start my own online business.

Not because I had endless amounts of spare time or everything figured out but because I knew what I wanted my future to look like and I was willing to try something different to get there.

Motherhood hasn’t taken away my ambition. It’s given it even more purpose.

And if you’re a mum who feels exactly the same, I hope you know that you’re allowed to want more for yourself too ❤️

Has becoming a mum made you more ambitious too?

It’s funny how we can convince ourselves of everything that could go wrong before we’ve even given ourselves a chance.

And I’m guilty of this myself.

I’ll overthink something, question whether I’m good enough, worry about how I’ll come across or what people might think and before I know it I’ve talked myself out of doing it altogether.

Something as simple as speaking to a camera can feel so uncomfortable sometimes.

But then I think, how am I ever supposed to become confident doing something if I keep avoiding the very thing that’s going to help me build that confidence?

The reality is, I’m not going to suddenly wake up one morning feeling completely comfortable doing everything that scares me.

And neither are you.

Sometimes you’ve just got to do it nervous, do it messy and accept that you might not get it right the first time.

Imagine how much further we’d get if we spent less time worrying about what people might think and more time actually giving ourselves a chance.

A little reminder today.. stop letting your own thoughts talk you out of things you haven’t even tried yet.

Anyone else their own worst enemy when it comes to overthinking? by @iamdaniellekorkurt

Some days I do it for me.
Some days I keep going because four little kids are watching.

I’m someone’s mum. That means I keep showing up 🤍 by @iamdaniellekorkurt

Having four children didn’t make me want less from life.

If anything, it made me want more.

More financial security.
More choices.
More experiences together.
More freedom over how we spend our time.

But it also made me very aware of how I wanted to create that life.

I didn’t want earning more to automatically mean giving more of my time away.

I wanted something I could build around school runs, sick days, half terms, appointments and the general chaos that comes with raising four children.

Something that gave me flexibility now, but also had the potential to grow into something much bigger.

And that’s a huge part of why I chose network marketing.

I can build from my phone.

I can work in the pockets of time I have available.

I can be there for my children while still working towards something for our future.

And there isn’t a limit on how ambitious I’m allowed to be with it.

That last part matters to me because I’ve never wanted to just earn a little bit of extra money and call it a day.

I want to build something substantial.

I’m under no illusion that it happens overnight. It takes work, consistency, learning new skills and doing things that aren’t always comfortable.

But I get to build it around my life rather than rearranging my entire life around it.

For me, that’s the difference.

Motherhood didn’t make me less ambitious.

It just made me much more intentional about what I was willing to build my future around. by @iamdaniellekorkurt

Yesterday I went for bottomless brunch for my friend’s birthday and honestly, I didn’t realise how much I needed a few hours like that.

Just getting dressed up, having a few drinks, laughing until your stomach hurts and being around women who just get it.

I think when you’re a mum, especially when life feels full, it’s so easy for things like this to become the last thing on your list.

There’s always something that needs doing. Someone that needs you. Something you could be sorting at home instead.

But yesterday reminded me how important it is to have people around you who you can just be you with.

Not just Mum.

Not the person who has to remember everything, organise everything and hold everything together.

Just you.

And I think we all need that sometimes.

The friendships where you can pick up where you left off, talk about absolutely everything, laugh at things nobody else would understand and go home feeling a little bit lighter.

Life is busy. Motherhood is busy. But you deserve people and moments that remind you who you are outside of all of that too.

Tag someone in your life who just gets it 🫶🏼 by @iamdaniellekorkurt

You love being their mum.

You wouldn’t change your children for the world.

But if you’re being completely honest, somewhere between raising them, keeping the house going, remembering everything for everyone and just getting through everyday life…

you lost a little bit of yourself.

You’ve spent so long thinking about what everyone else needs that you’re not even sure when you last stopped and asked yourself:

What do I want?

Not what the kids need.

Not what needs paying this month.

Not what needs doing around the house.

What do you want your life to look like?

Maybe you want to earn your own money and feel more financially independent.

Maybe you want to travel more and give your children experiences you never had.

Maybe you want something that’s yours outside of being “Mum”.

Or maybe you can’t even put your finger on exactly what you want yet…

you just know you don’t want to spend the next few years feeling like you’re standing still.

And wanting that doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful for the life you already have.

You can adore your children and still have dreams of your own.

You can be present for them and still build something for yourself.

You can be a brilliant mum and still want more.

Because maybe the next chapter isn’t about choosing between being a good mum and becoming the woman you want to be.

Maybe you get to be both. 🤍

If you read this thinking “this is exactly where I am right now”, comment ME TOO. I’d love to know I’m not the only one having these conversations with myself. by @iamdaniellekorkurt

That was actually magic… core memory made 💫

Something we haven’t seen like this since 1999… so why not make a little memory out of it?

It doesn’t need to be expensive or perfectly planned.

Sometimes the simplest nights become the ones they remember forever.

Grab the snacks, get outside and watch the sky together.
