Daniel shows us their craft, @amahstudios is a creative studio, co working, and events space, located in the penthouse of the Old Eleganza House Tower. Gutted and polished, the space now takes shape as a brutalist inspired home for a new generation of young African creatives.

Bare concrete frames the accent colours of various art and furnishings. The volume of the space light and air filled by day, loud and buzzing by night.

I recently discovered the work of Demas Nwoko, and it has since become a recurring theme in my professional and personal conversations not knowing a day like this would come.

For me, as a multi-hyphenate who grew up on the other side of the Niger Bridge stepping into his world was an incredible honor.

My primary goal for this project was to capture the essence of his sanctuary and home, reflecting decades of his remarkably persistent work. During the shoot, I found great fulfillment in letting go of my initial plans, allowing my instincts and spirit to guide the process. I spent the day barefoot, connecting deeply with the red earth and the stories embedded within the space.

I hope you feel that same connection through these photographs.

Thank you to @aidannovaa and @admiddleeast team for this incredible opportunity. It was a privilege to create these images, and I hope they resonate with the purity of a quiet poem.
