With all the unwarranted negativity around it, booked the Ticket and went to cinemas. Took a deep breath and just let myself immerse into it completely. I'm glad I wasn't dissapointed. Contrary to all the so-called reviews floating online, as a cinephile, I was thoroughly impressed. Everything about this movie is topnotch and I loved it!
Without giving anything away, all I want to say is, don't miss Toxic in cinemas!

Internet and social media is a dark place, which blurs the lines between what's real and what's not. To all the keyboard warriors, all the lowlifes who thrive on spreading vile hatredness, all the so called "influencer/film critics", paid PR and sold media, Up Yours!

I would stick my chest out and say I'm proud to be the fan of Namma Rocking Star Yash!

So this happened today at work.

I never touch another man's motorcycle, let alone sit on it unless the permission is granted. I came across this beautiful Royal Enfield Bullet with a "Cast Iron" engine. As I got closer to it, I noticed the rare, venerable timing cover. The "cycle hub" brakes on either end. The weathered paint, the Lucas lamps all around, Smiths gauge and Lucas amp meter with patina. It was an original 1954 G2 Bullet (serial number stamped on the engine assured the same) with most of its factory parts intact. Except for the exhaust, a shoddy paintjob on the front fender, a custom seat, aftermarket engine guard, tank bag, horns and a Mikcarb carburetor instead of Amal, most of it was painstakingly original. This was truly a rare find! I had goosebumps, I swear.
Only those who love vintage motorcycles will understand this. 😄

Long story short, today I was so damn close to ruining my financial plan for the whole year. I was hell bent on getting this. Heck I even made plans of shipping it safely back to Bengaluru and was daydreaming about how I'm gonna source all the original parts from every nook and corner of the world and restore it to its original glory. No matter how many months or years it takes to do that!
All daydreams must end and I painfully realised that this belongs to an incredible and a very popular actor from Tamilnadu and that he has no plans of selling it. Apparently he has atleast a dozen of such beautiful Enfields and I'm sure most of them don't know that he loves vintage Royal Enfield motorcycles.

By the end of shoot today, with a broken heart, immense respect for the actor/ motorcycle owner and with an undying spirit, I decided that I'm gonna get one someday. For sure. 🤞🏽

PS - The mechanic who was handling this beautiful motorcycle was all smiling and gracious enough to let me sit on it. Psst, he recognised me too! 😄

And I read something truly profound, that God guides us constantly. The whisper of our soul, the voice of conscience - we have drowned it with our anger and ego. That God is speaking to us, but we the humans have chosen to plug our ears...😊 by @iamdarshak
