🦷 WHAT IS A DENTAL ARTICULATOR?

A dental articulator is a mechanical device used in dentistry to simulate the relationship and movements of the upper and lower jaws.

🔹 Helps establish proper occlusion
🔹 Assists in accurate tooth positioning
🔹 Simulates mandibular movements
🔹 Helps create balanced occlusion
🔹 Commonly used in complete denture fabrication and other dental prosthetic procedures

📌 Main types of articulators:
• Simple articulators
• Average-value articulators
• Semi-adjustable articulators
• Fully adjustable articulators

A well-made denture is not only about aesthetics — proper occlusion and jaw movements are equally important.

What is a Dental Technician?

A Dental Technician is a skilled professional who creates and repairs dental prostheses and other dental restorations based on the dentist’s prescriptions, impressions, models, or digital scans.

A Dental Technician may work on:

🔹 Complete and partial dentures
🔹 Denture repairs and adjustments
🔹 Functional and aesthetic dental prostheses
🔹 Wax-up and denture base fabrication
🔹 Processing, finishing, and polishing
🔹 Digital dental workflows and laboratory procedures

While the dentist examines and treats the patient, the dental technician works in the laboratory to create the prosthetic solution needed for the treatment.
