SLOW START. REAL PROGRESS. FIRST POLICY SOLD!

Getting my lead generation system going has come with plenty of hurdles.

It’s been a slow start, with mistakes, adjustments, and lessons along the way.

But I kept going, and I just sold my first policy from my own self generated leads! 🙌🏾

One sale doesn’t mean I’ve figured it all out, but it’s progress I’m grateful for.

I’m still learning, still building, and still trusting God through the process. The best is yet to come!

One of the biggest things stopping people from buying a home is believing they need 20 percent down.

While a larger down payment may lower your monthly payment, you may not need as much as you think.

There are loan programs with lower down payment requirements, and some buyers may also qualify for down payment assistance.

Do not count yourself out based on an assumption.

The best place to start is finding out what programs are available and what you may actually qualify for.

BUILD THE FOUNDATION. THEN BUILD THE DREAM.

Looking back, my career decisions were always about creating a better life for my family.

The goal was right, but experience and good mentorship could have helped me choose a better route.

I still love entrepreneurship, the uncapped income potential and the excitement of building something from nothing.

I also see the value of having a secure income while growing that dream.

If you’re finishing high school or entering or leaving college, think about your foundation.

If staying home is an option, use that season to keep expenses low, save, and build with a plan.

Seek mentors early. Give your ambition a foundation to grow on.

You may still need a few thousand dollars for earnest money, inspections, or other upfront expenses.

OWNING THE SYSTEM CHANGES THE GAME

Quick update on my lead system: The marketer I was working with didn’t work out, but the experience taught me something valuable. I need to own my lead generation system.

When you control the system, you have more control over what each lead costs.

Vendor leads can be marked up so much that agents get stuck in a cycle of buying more just to stay in business.

Some break through, but many can’t afford to keep spending through the natural ups and downs of sales.

I’m still building, but my goal is clear. Create a system I can afford to run consistently and eventually help other agents do the same.

IF I COULD START OVER, I’D FIND A MENTOR SOONER

If I could do it all over again, I’d ask more questions and learn from people who’ve already walked the road.

I’d still have to put in the work, but the right mentor could’ve helped me avoid costly mistakes and reach my goals faster.

Sometimes a different path starts with being willing to listen.

Working on the Go vs. Working at Home

Working on the go keeps me productive, but it also makes it way too easy to grab unhealthy food.

A “NO” DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN NO.
FIND THE REAL OBJECTION!

Sometimes “no” simply means, “I don’t understand,” “I’m not sure,” or “I don’t trust this yet.”

Don’t pressure the client—ask better questions, listen closely, and uncover the real concern.

You can’t solve an objection you haven’t identified.
