DAY 24: THE COBRA PROJECT. PART 1: This is my biggest project so far since I started this tattoo journey. I decided to start with the bottom part first, then move on to the top, and finish with the cobra in the middle. For the needles, I’m using a 7OF Magnum, a 5 Round Shader, and a few different Round Liners that I showed in the video. With this tattoo, I can practice shading, different needles, and outlines all at the same time. DAY 22: THE SPIRAL EYE. What do you think is the hardest part of learning how to tattoo? I’d say shading. I still need to get a lot softer with it. It’s definitely what takes me the most time. Do you have any tips for shading? The bottom-left part was shaded with a 5 Round Shader, at 7 volts and a 3.6 mm stroke. The rest was done with a 3 Round Liner, at 4 volts and also a 3.6 mm stroke. DAY 18: PRACTICING LINES & SHADING. Black Ornamental is definitely one of the tattoo styles I want to get into. I’m gonna try to create my own style and designs in that direction. I’m already working on some drawings and practicing, but I still need to figure out how to get the shading right and how to make my lines flow properly. Once I’ve got it down, I’ll show you guys. DAY 17: SHADING BEGINNINGS. I messed up a few lines on this tattoo, but that’s part of being a tattoo beginner. Every mistake is practice, and every session helps me improve my shading and tattoo technique. The stencil didn’t print perfectly either, so a few lines disappeared before I even started.
