Andy Williams. If you didn’t know him, you’d probably think he was scary. But if you were lucky enough to meet him, you quickly realized he was a gentle giant. He made time for everyone. Whether you were a local band, new to touring, or just a fan, he cared. Seeing him watch my band from the side of the stage felt like a badge of honor. His towering presence was a seal of approval. He was fiercely protective of everyone around him. I remember playing a show at a skate park in Buffalo and someone threw a parking cone through our van window. When he found out, I swear he puffed up like the Incredible Hulk as we ran into the parking lot looking for the guy that did it.😂 I’m actually glad that guy got away without facing the consequences😂 Or one time ETID played Cervantes in Denver, didn’t go to the show because me and the FBTMOF guys had tickets to Sigur Ros that night (Andy was jealous) but we went before and after the show to hang out on the bus. I was sitting in the lounge talking with @biggiexxx when the door opens and we hear, “Biggie, I fucked up!’ And Andy started pacing up and down the bus like a caged lion “I had to knock him out, he was talking shit!” The guy he punched was Pete Coors’ son, and when he called the cops, told them he was stabbed. When the cops showed up and found out that it was Pete Coors’ son and was in fact, not stabbbed, the cops were laughing and Andy was not in trouble 😂 When @gooseshoes joined ETID, I was so proud and happy for him to be around someone like Andy all the time. Andy loved music. I will miss his playlists and him sharing songs I’ve never heard. I lost the few photos we had together, and live videos of him with ETID to the cloud. If any friends find any, please send them my way. It’s been amazing seeing all the pictures and memories from friends and strangers fill my algorithm.
Andy Williams was quite literally, ‘The Dolly Parton’ of our scene. @andywilliamsforever by @iamdognow

A public service announcement to let your friends take your portrait, even when you think you don’t want it.
