IT'S A BIRTHDAY TIMES TWO! Today marks one year of The Qolosseum. And somewhere in the middle of thinking about how to acknowledge that milestone, the language I have been looking for finally arrived. The Qolosseum is a strategy arena and design theater. That’s it. That’s the language. That’s the architecture. That’s the alignment. I have spent the last year exploring what The Qolosseum could hold, what it could become, and where its greatest energy lives. Today, the picture is clear. Basketball is our center of gravity. The game. The business. The ecosystem beyond the buzzer. Commerce. Culture. Capital. Media. Technology. Ownership. Investment. Innovation. Expansion. Design. Leadership. Globalization. Men’s and Women's. Fan experience. Intellectual property. Opportunity. The entire world that exists because a ball goes through a hoop. The Qolosseum will continue to engage consequential developments across sport. Basketball now becomes the primary arena through which we examine what is changing, what is emerging, what is possible, and what comes next. And the Qolosseum itself finally has its form.
