Practicing diving three times a week, staying strong academically despite a tough curriculum, staying active in AG, and juggling music and last-minute auditions—it’s a lot, but it’s worth it. Happy 15th Birthday to our son, Jean-Luc! I was blessed to become a mother 11 years ago to the most kind-hearted, talented, sensitive, intelligent, driven, and athletic young man (with a bit of that teenage smart mouth 😝). We hope that the values we’re instilling in you will guide you through life’s journey. As a Haitian-American black young man, we know society may place obstacles in your path, but we have no doubt you will overcome them. You will undoubtedly join the ranks of the few black pilots in the world.
