In two days, it will be one year since my world changed forever.

I have experienced the loss of my grandparents, my aunt, and my cousin—but losing Jeff and my dad knocked the wind out of me in a way I cannot fully explain. I struggle, and I pray EVERY DAY.

Some days, I can smell them, hear them, and feel their presence in the house. I often wonder if they can see everything happening in my life. Are they proud of me?

Grief is real. It does not follow a schedule or disappear simply because time moves forward.

“If you believe in yourself enough…” you can make it happen. I am holding on to my faith and trusting God to give me the strength to keep going, even when my heart is heavy.

I am walking in my purpose, pouring into my community and others, while learning to make time for myself—to rest, grieve, heal, and breathe without guilt.

Jeff and Daddy, I miss you more than words can express. I hope you can see me, feel my love, and know that I am doing my best to make you proud.

Black Bird Smart Innovations had an incredible time at the Nassan’s Place Awareness Family Fun & Resource Day in Newark, New Jersey!

We were honored to connect with so many amazing families, caregivers, advocates, professionals, and community leaders who stopped by to learn more about how Black Bird is helping keep individuals safe through innovative wearable technology.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited our table, asked questions, shared their stories, and supported our mission of Saving Lives One Wrist at a Time™.

Special thanks to Dr. Liz Black, Black Bird TV, and the entire Black Bird family for helping make this event such a success. The turnout was fantastic, the conversations were meaningful, and the community support was inspiring!

Happy Mother’s Day to you Mommy🌹 you are the reason we are who we are. Your strength, your bravery, your love and kindness just to name a few. You made sure we lacked nothing. Everyday you work so tirelessly to make sure we had the best. You took in every person we brought home and became affectionately known to all as Momma Kwan.
