On Saturday, August 16th, I received my Master of Public Health with a concentration in Maternal & Child Health Policy and Leadership from The University of Alabama at Birmingham 🎓🐉 
Today, I am blessed to be a part of the 9.5% of Black women in the U.S. who hold a Master’s degree. I took the late Aaliyah’s advice when she said, “If at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again,”—and that’s exactly what I did!

This year, My Birthday is Extra Special ✨

📣 Long Post Alert 📣:
I competed in the National America Miss pageant this past weekend, and I'm honored to announce that I was named First Runner Up in the Miss Division for the state of Alabama. 🎉 I entered this pageant three months ago, not knowing what to expect because it was my first time competing in a State pageant, and if you know me, you know I'm more of a Model girl.

With the encouragement of my parents, family, and friends saying... "I think you should DO IT "E," now I can say I'm glad I did. This was a great experience, and I am thankful and blessed to have been given the opportunity. I met some amazing individuals and gained some valuable skills over the weekend.

It’s still a huge accomplishment placing 1st Runner Up for the State of Alabama in the Miss division especially since this was my first time competing.
I also walked away with additional awards that I wasn’t expecting to receive
🏆 1st place Most Recommendations to Win Award for the State of Alabama
🏆 1st place Heart of Service Award for the State of Alabama
🏆 Dream Model Award
🏆 Qualified as a State Semi-Finalist in the Top 5 & Qualified for Nationals

You know the saying the Journey is more important than the destination. Its always good achieving goals but HOW we achieve them shows us what we’re capable of.
With God first, I’m ALWAYS A winner 👑✨
